Kawasaki actually makes a damn solid loader. Ran a 80ZV for years at a concrete plant. Had 18K hours and still had tons of power. Responsive hydraulics and one of the best pile pushing loaders I’ve ever ran.

One thing that I can't stress to anyone doing this enough is to always and I mean, ALWAYS check the machine to make sure that its not in a forward or reverse gear as starting any machine that you have absolutely no idea who touched it last could have been left in gear and stalled in gear without ever being restarted and could potentially get you or someone else killed very easily... Also, if you do end up doing something like this and you end up leaving the machine, please put the hydraulic equipment back down on the ground so some kids don't come by and get themselves seriously injured or killed by messing around with it. Thank you for thinking about that and doing that, not many people would think about that unless they either have their own kids or did something like that themselves as a kid. Also, I would not be walking under that boom being up like that being that its sat around for 18 years and the hydraulic lines to that boom have had plenty of time to sit around and rot. It doesn't take lines that old to start a leak and then have that thing fall on you. If you're going to buy it and it runs and works, get it up to operating standards and put it to use.
Same in africa. A machine here in africa is abandoned once everything has really failed. And even then, it will serve as a spare part supplier for other machines
The fact that started up as easy as it did and moved as easy as it did after 18 damn years of sitting is mind boggling shows they dont make stuff like they used to
First off, jack those tires off the ground before attempting to inflate them. It can be very dangerous to do it sitting like they are. Cummins engines will to in one to jus a few revolutions after sitting for 50 years , good ol Cummins engines, the only thing that will go bad is the fuel ⛽️,, it will be grownup in Algae . Thanks BigAl California praise Jesus Christ grace amen 🙏
Reminds me of "dead row" at Edmonton Ritchie Brothers...watching two mechanics trying to out-bid each other for the non running machine and driving the price higher than a running unit going across the block an hour later. Special kind of people can do this and make it profitable.
That thing could come in handy someday, when you need to move a big broken tractor out of the way, or you could just use it to unload your truck, pick the tractors up off the trailer, and carry them where you want them, lol
It’s mind boggling how well built and rugged these machines are crazy how these can sit in the elements and still fire up just proves ppl wrong when they say these tractor/vehicles companies build these things to not last I love being a human lol
Cummins employee here. That is a Cummins K19. Basically, an indestructible engine. That loader in working condition is worth real money, especially to a mining or materials handling outfit.
I ran a 115 Z-IV and it had a QSK Cummins around 450 horse. It'd load 18 tons of crusher run all day long. Per bucket and it was an armor plated bucket for loading shot rock.
Looks like a 966 0r 988 cat. I had to pull the cab off one just to replace the emergency brake if I remember correctly. If it only needs a few things its great to have around a farm. All them hoses and seals are probably toast as well as injector seals. Be careful what you pay for it. Also check articulation bearings and all the loader arm bearings, if all that is worn they will need to be rebored and new bearings. But if it just needs a few things could last someone another 10years. Keep up the good work boys. Yellow iron rules.

If you can find a bucket reasonably priced for it even better.
Right now any working construction equipment is selling top dollar at fire sale speeds.
That thing is a beast, deffo buy it. Damn that Florida sunshine looks so nice. Its bloody freezing and raining here in the UK. FJB.
Get it Bruce!!! You may not use it alot but if you need it then you got it!!
hi there i would guess the the front was made to lift those big cement road barriers , good job john
good afternoon brother I'm from Manitoba Canada and just bring it to the shop and go ahead with it
I grew up in the 70s/80s era my neighbor had a cab over. Been in transportation since 1988 we adopted a old ford cab over single tandem for a yard switcher from Roadway. Watching these videos takes me back personally. You are not only bringing them alive it was the drivers legacy
That turned those wheels you get a good one restore it. Remember BJ and the bear. I use jumper boxes myself to get a truck running on cold starts. Freight has to move.
Awesome videos my friend.
Good to see the will it start videos back.
Should definitely buy it and fix it up, think it would be a badass series that alota ppl would love to follow from the start with a will it start video
Hard to believe that it started right away, after so many years! You should get it, if the price is right! 👏👏👏👏👏
I've watched a ton of these type videos. Yours is one of my favorites. Get that thing up and going and see where it goes from there. I want to see it running and in use doing something.
Another great video! Thanks for cranking out the content.
It's good to see you back
Nice job on getting the baby started yes Bruce go for it bring that back to the shop be bad ass👍🏼
Absolutely bring it back to the shop
It would be awesome to see you either fix them up to sell which would be a crazy profit in most cases. Or use it around the shop to pick up things.
Heck yeah man, makes me want to go out in the woods and see if I can find something to start
Buy her and have FUN! 🤩🙌
Bring it to the shop and fix it up that loader is super cool
yes , get it so every one can see just what you can bring back to running order. plus one big toy for you to tinker with . all guys tinker !!!!!!!!!!
Cummins engines will to in one to jus a few revolutions after sitting for 50 years , good ol Cummins engines, the only thing that will go bad is the fuel ⛽️,, it will be grownup in Algae . Thanks BigAl California praise Jesus Christ grace amen 🙏
And RIP to your hand starter and cable you forgot to take off of the tire and ran over. LOL! Great video!
You should use it like a billboard Mount a tractor to the boom and raise it up and set it by the road
This video is gonna get all the heavy d and diesel creek guys watching
Cool video. Never thought it would light up so easily!!!
Bring it to the shop, that would be awesome
GET IT!!!! TRY TO WORK IT OR ALWAYS CAN FLIP IT. HELL YEAH BROTHERS !!!!
Keep it man I would love to see more videos🔥🔥
Reminds me of "dead row" at Edmonton Ritchie Brothers...watching two mechanics trying to out-bid each other for the non running machine and driving the price higher than a running unit going across the block an hour later. Special kind of people can do this and make it profitable.
That thing could come in handy someday, when you need to move a big broken tractor out of the way, or you could just use it to unload your truck, pick the tractors up off the trailer, and carry them where you want them, lol
Take it to the shop and start it for people be so cool ☺️
We used one of those to plow snow in the Quarry Hill Bomb Dump at Eielson AFB in Alaska in the early 90's. 😆
That's a medium sized loader. I can't believe how amazed you guys are with its size it's not that big its average
Came to comments looking for this.
That's a baby compared to one's I've operated.
Bring it home and fix it up. That thing is badass
As a former aggregate employee, I got to operate a 2021 CAT 980M for months, Man that thing was big and fun to load trucks with!
Hell yeah and you can probably get some use of it around your shop
Looks like a 966 0r 988 cat. I had to pull the cab off one just to replace the emergency brake if I remember correctly. If it only needs a few things its great to have around a farm. All them hoses and seals are probably toast as well as injector seals. Be careful what you pay for it. Also check articulation bearings and all the loader arm bearings, if all that is worn they will need to be rebored and new bearings. But if it just needs a few things could last someone another 10years. Keep up the good work boys. Yellow iron rules.
Valuable piece of equipmentcall the tire service and have them replace tires and sell it and buy another
Buy it, leave it at the shop, great old machine 👍
Absolutely!! Wanna see 2.0 hauling it,you need that!!!
Definitly buy it if its cheap! Old iron is hard to find and that thing can be like brand new! KCM is a great brand!
Definitely buy it, it's so awesome and to be able to move dead tractors with big forks would be so handy or vehicles if you had too,
Great job guys starting the payloader
Mantap kawan kamu sedang memperbaiki whell loader👍 🙏🙏
Hey great video my name is Randy Johnson I'm in Eastern Kentucky and thank you guys do a great job very interesting I enjoy your videos a lot and I have them saved to my playlist thanks for sharing.
Bruce, I think you need this big old front loader. You have a truck you can haul it. Just park it in front of the store with a sign on the forks that you can raise in the air.
Great video Bruce and Aaron
