Love learning this history of blue, also a fave color of mine. To add to it, here is a history of blue in the Americas...Maya blue (Spanish: azul maya) is a unique bright azure blue pigment manufactured by cultures of pre-Columbian Mesoamerica, such as the Mayas and Aztecs, during a period extending from approximately the 8th century to around 1860 CE. The Maya blue pigment is a composite of organic and inorganic constituents, primarily indigo dyes derived from the leaves of anil (Indigofera suffruticosa) plants combined with palygorskite, a natural clay. I just wanted to let you know that I found you in TH-cam a couple months ago. You have been such an inspiration to me. I’ve been an artist my whole life and I’ve tried so many materials and techniques and I’m really enjoying the printing process.
Thank you so much for your continued generosity of technique and inspiring ideas. Beautiful blues!
Interesting history of blue…love the 1st… on the 3rd u can c a man dancing with his hands in the air… love the limited palette🎉😊
Love the colour blue and the blues😊 A great demo, as always. Thank you!
🥰. Gorgeous 👍🏻. I just purchased those silicone tools myself last week and was planning to use them as you did here today. Awesome 😎. Look forward to trying this myself. (I’m just a beginner). Thank you for sharing your expertise. You make it look so easy 😊💐
Very nice results. We are so fortunate to have every 'Kinda Blue' (sorry couldn't resist a lttle jazz pun!) ❤
THANK YOU FOR THE HISTORY OF BLUE--MY FAVORITE COLOR, TOO.
I love the broken brush marks that watering down the black provides. Entirely painterly. I have ordered shaping tools because I am not happy with Breyer use entirely. So thanks a million!
Beautiful. Blue shades are my favorite ❤️
The first two make for a wonderful diptych. The third piece has so much energy.
Love the composition thank you.
Very nice Fulton. I'm using these silicon tools too and I find they produce interesting effect. Thank you also for the history of the blue color ❤
The second print looks like there is a dancing figure in the light blue paint. If I may be so bold to suggest a title. “Print maker boogy in Blue” see what titles others fans can think of for the print 💙🖼🙂
Rhapsody in blue!
Thank you
Looks amazing
stuart semple from culture hustle has a great blue called klein blue, very close to the one yves klein used...he also has a tiffany blue which is amazing as well
Thank you for the history of blue. I appreciate all you share and teach.
Lovely work Fulton. Thank you for the history of the blues.❤
Third one I see a light blue man dancing.
I was hoping you’d add some marks with Qtips. The third one looks like a Matisse. I love the looseness in it!
Magnifique!😘
😅 I love the last one the best. Can you pls direct me to the placement tool video you made awhile ago

the printing bed I have was a gift from a viewer who wished to remain anonymous
What would happen if you used the color shaper only and not the brayer after, would the paint be too thick? Im curious! I like the effect of the color shaper, kind of patchwork. Thank you! I enjoy watching you create these wonderful prints!
the color shaper leaves too many thick spots of paint, the result is a lot of globs. You can try it, you might like the results.
I thought so, but it might be fun to try! Thank you again!!
Enjoy watching your videos. What kind of paper are you using and do you prep it first (watercolor) with clear gesso?
at the moment I like using Richeson for its price point. I normally don't prime my paper for printmaking, I like the natural absorbent nature of the paper.
When you sell your prints Fulton on your website, how many limited additions do you print. Is is 88!
What do you find is the best solution to clean your mod podge brushes. Loving the Blues.

You have used so many different papers. Can you give a recommendation or rate them for us? I am interested in economical sturdy non-tearing sheets for larger prints and don't mind cutting the largest paper down to size. Love your work and have learned so much watching you month after month. I'd also love to know what that printer base that the gel plate rests on that was gifted to you is called. Thank you from a long time subscriber.
the base is a piece of white plexiglass cut an inch larger than the 18 in. x 24 in. plate, it allows me to shift the position easily, but stays put from its own weight. as for the borders any piece of molding will do. You will have to do your own homework on paper, there are so many variables, mine being cost per sheet. I love Somerset English paper, but it can be about $6/sheet which can get expensive in large quantities. For filming I use Richeson paper 88lb. from dickblick.com. comes out to about $2/sheet.
Great video! What weight paper are you using? Richeson 88# or 135#?
@@kathyodham7002 88lb, my lucky numbers
@@fultonsim2165thank you!
@@fultonsim2165have you ever tried using the 135# paper? Is 135# paper too thick? The reason I’m asking is that I assumed that’s what you are using, and I ordered it before I received your response.
❤
@kathyodham7002 try it and let me know your opinion
