This car has a lot of potential. I am planning to buy one slams some good alloys , paint it all black and put some air suspensions and drop it like it’s hot.
Triber is best the way it is. The price is perfectly justified. Remember there are some so called Micro SUVs robbing for the same prices with less features.
Triber is a great car! It is not underpowered,it performs well on road, off-road.A driver will only know how to drive it in all conditions, rather than saying negative about the car.
We aren't drivers alone @raghav2251. It's literally our job to point out the pros and cons of every vehicle we cover so the buyer can make a decision accordingly. 🙂
I agree with you fully. That's the reason why Sales nos have declined rapidly. Same Kwid engine on a bigger 7 Seater with most basic Taxi Quality interiors. Their design idea was good to have 2nd row sliding & 3rd row seats can be removed easily. But that's not enough for aspirational Indians in 2024. Flip side. You have Maruti Ertiga on 6 months waiting with sales nos of over 10-12,000 units per month.
Requesting for a video series and review on the Bolero Neo. It would be great if you could touch upon the below points. 1. What is the desirability factor of the Bolero Neo? 2. Is the Bolero Neo more suitable for urban or rural environments? 3. Would the 4x4 or AWD or even RWD make sense for the Bolero Neo? 4. Had the Bolero Neo been plonked with the 4x4, would it have been a potent competition for the Jimny at a cheaper price? Thus rendering the Jimny ineligible to be a competition to the Thar? Thank you for the videos and your prompt replies. 😊
The worst part is they said they would release it for the past 3-4 years... Now they are launching New Duster but still no announcement of Turbo petrol in this
I own a 2024 Triber.....it completely justify its price.....its the most practical car for it price ...a person who want a safe comfortable family car on a budget ...who don't want to race on highways....this car is for them. It has enough to cruise at 90kmph smoothly on highways and can reach upto 150 kmph thats good enough for our Indian roads....the AC is mindblowing in my car( BS6 phase2 version had updated AC which is a chiller), I have driven on highway with my family at 45 degree summer heat and the AC worked wonderfully and chilled the cabin within 5 mins and remained that way for 200km drive. Its a Good car in my opinion but the turbo petrol engine from kiger will make it excellent. Though this engine gave me 18kmpl with AC on highway drive and 13-14 kmpl in city. And in bumper to bumper traffic it gave me around 10 which is ok for kind of teaffic we have here in kolkata ..in office time roads are jam packed with bumper to bumper traffic.
I like triber and bolero Neo, most practical vehicle 7 seat in 4 MTR. Triber should get disel engine from Mahindra so mileage and power both we can get here.
@rishikeshkashyap248 but wagonr doesn't feel sluggish and dangerously slow. Wagonr is what it advertises itself as, a city car ,it's not a pretender. Triber is biting more than it can chew and has become a colossal failure. Weak 3 cylinder engine and lack of boot space thus Fails to be quick hatchback and fails to be a proper mpv. L from Renault.
@@JohnDoe-zj6xf Wagon R owner here. I will say it's a W of renault to making an India specific car. You get what you pay for and the triber does fit into many Indian household needs. Not the best engine, but does the job.
Its a well planned car for a family which has freinds into it occasionally. The car needs a little bigger engine, the probably a 1200 cc with turbo and little more space for the 3rd row. It could have defeated the ertiga provided they stick to thier pocket freindly pricing bearing the economic condition of the lower middle income families.
I don't understand why everyone thinks the turbo petrol would make this better. I mean, anyone who buys the triber aims on using it purely as a utility vehicle. A 3 cylinder turbo petrol might suit smaller cars for swift acceleration and a zip-zap drive. But triber doesn't exactly beg for that turbo petrol engine cauz what it needs is a diesel-like engine to match its purpose and body type. The 3 cyl turbo petrol would make a good additional sport variant may be, but will not quench the thirst of what the triber is exactly missing. A turbo petrol is going to be less economic too. That would make people (who aims to have a utilitarian purpose) want the triber even lesser. My opinion. No offense to others. Peace ✌🏻
I'm not an auto expert, but I think the Triber needs more power even as a people mover. There are videos by other channels that show the Triber with a full house (7 adults) struggling in the ghats section and even rolling back, which is a scary experience. Even in highways, it is a struggle to manage the Triber during overtakes. It definitely needs more power to carry 7 people around more comfortably. As it is, the current Triber is acceptable only for strictly city rides.
If you aim for efficiency then forced induction will always be more efficient then naturally aspirated. Renault already has turbo engine in kiger . the same one is in Triber just without the turbo.
Triber is the best car in this price segment in fact more. Apart from immediate pickup lag, There is nothing wrong in this beauty. True value for money, Though it is a budget car, we do not feel cheap, Because Renault will throw all basic safety features free of cost especially better suspension and 4 airbags in RXZ, No compromise in safety 4* rating, If we go out we have to come safe, Go for it
This is one short from a series of shorts @ganantharaja so make sure to comment your three reasons not to buy the Triber in our previous short where we have discussed three reasons to buy it.
No. It's bad financial decision. Old design, dated interiors, bad build quality, puny 3 cylinder engine for 7 seater shaking like crazy old diesel engine, No spares available, 2 airbags, unbearably loud interiors, to cruise at above 100kmph it needs 4000rpms, manual dated ac, no cruise control . RXZ varient is 9.5L on road. Better go for Hyundai Exter SX , proper 5 seater but 6 airbags, push button Start, digital mid, electronic sunroof, automatic climate control, buttery smooth 1.3L 4cylinder Hyundai series engine, cruise control. 8.7L on road. Plus Hyundai sales and service reach and quality is miles better than Renault
All of these are cost oriented measures. A more powerful engine costs more, better features cost more & having more space pushes it to 4m+ territory. You do all that and ur possibly close to the French cousin in the C3 aircross 🤔
The worst part is they said they would release it for the past 3-4 years... Now they are launching New Duster but still no announcement of Turbo petrol in this
Some people are saying that it struggled in Ghat roads. But my friend drove that in the hills of Darjeeling which is steeper. To drive a 3cyl NA on difficult roads, you need to keep it in the perfect rpm band. You can't drive it like a bigger engine or 4 cyl engines. A turbo engine will kill the VFM aspect of the car. Although it's good to have an extra variant, as they already have one in Kiger.
Renault doesn't believe in marketing and sales of vehicles. They're stuck with low price thing badly which isn't working at all. See the 1.5 times and 2 times costlier Ertiga and Carens are sold 11 times 4 times and even the cheap and feature less eeco is sold 8 times more than the Triber. Their management is totally lost on the customer taste and market sentiments.
An automatic transmission will increase the price. The engine is underpowered when using the AC installation city conditions. On long drives even with the AC there is no issue. Last row seats are removable to create space for luggage if required. This row has ac vents as well. few vehicles in this range have a rear windshield wiper. Good ground clearance. Head lights are very delicate and body parts are not very robust.
Some of older videos had issues, mostly they are fixed. We checked the sound for this video there is no problem with audio. We don't max out audio levels they are in the range recommended by TH-cam.
Pretty underrated car.
Ashes! It really is!
This car has a lot of potential. I am planning to buy one slams some good alloys , paint it all black and put some air suspensions and drop it like it’s hot.
They launched black color and give alloy as an accessory from this year
Buy used and do swap the engine with 1.5l 4 cylinder turbo petrol.

Its a cheap 7-seater and so don't expect much from it.
You can not expect larger length due length rule and its taxes. Otherwise the main usp price will be compromised.
Kwid wali 1.0 l engine should be replaced by any 1.5 or 2.0 l engine

the AMT (on triber) is crap
I did not bought triber just because of the underpowered engine

Nexon, Turbo top end isn't vfm just because of its engine itself
