This past Friday I spent some time on the Quintic system getting evaluated. I am one of the worst putters in the world! I brought both putters I use, while both performance was weak, one was better than the other. But as I knew I sucked. I was having to manipulate the putter to accomplish anything half way decent. In other words I had to think too much to get a putt online. We id’d things for me to work on and my main issues. I was then handed a DF3 to play with, and the fitter told me to not think, relax, take the putter back and let it go. Results were instant and positive. I can honestly say no thoughts, it was easy and it’s like it putted itself. I have never felt better over a putt and just let the putter work, this thing is amazing. The fitter sells more of the DF3 than all others combined. It’s crazy good. I had my doubts but no more.
I absolutely hated the feel of the Mezz when I tried it when it came out. Didn't understand the LAB hype because of it. Tried the DF3 with the steel shaft and Accra shaft. DF3 with steel shaft was amazing. Now it's in the bag
Good question! I have played with both. I did not like the 2 ball bc the white hot insert was too punchy for me. I do like the spider tour. The LAB putter is a little heavier but not a struggle to hold. In terms of feel, very stable. Just smooth from back to finish. Hope that helps!
Nice review. I like the DF3 a lot. Would love to try one with my actual lie angle. Been using one at golf galaxy a few times this week and I prefer its feel to my DF2.1. Just trying to figure out if it’s worth it or not. I’ve been a LAB guy since 2017. Took a lot of jokes back then. Now the science is starting to catch on. It really is a game changer
Love my Mezz.Max because out of face, pace and read, face control has always been my weak point, and reading the putt the best. If its the reverse, LAB will not provide much of a boost, but for me its massive
@@FiredBirdieGolf the broomstick is insane how good/easy it is. It's probably not for some.. but once you get Used to it it's borderline impossible to go back to traditional. Shaved 3 strokes a round since I have had it (could just be chipping closer also) but it passes the eye test. Balls are dropping more or trying to at least! Ha
Which shaft did you go with? I am torn between getting the custom Accra Shaft but would have to wait 5 to 6 weeks or I can get the putter with the stock steel shaft at my local store
ordered my DF3 today. also been trough many putters true my 30 year of golfing. i really hope its so good what everybody says. it was a total blind buy. :)
@@FiredBirdieGolfbeen playing with the DF3 for about one month now. It has transformed my game 100%. Lower my putting stats by 4 shoots in average to 29 putt/round. This will not leave the bag for many many years unless its an another LAB. 😂
I HATED the look and the hype behind these. I was a blade guy my whole life and as a 5hdcp I thought my putting game was pretty good. Got a putter fitting and my fitter just suggested to try it. The result spoke for themselves. Who cares how ugly it is. It sinks putts.
I was exactly the same way. Was stubborn about only playing blades. Then I gave the mallet chance. Then my fitter did the same thing and handed me a lab. We must have the same fitter haha
If you don’t aim correctly, if you don’t read the green correctly, if you can’t get pace perfected, no putter or club is going to change that. No putter will give you a cheat.
All true. But I've had this putter 2 days, it's unbelievable. gives you the best chance of hitting your lines...its very difficult to push/pull with this putter.
That’s all obvious. The point of LAB putters is the genius design to take torque out of the putter swing. I received mine 3 weeks ago. It is fantastic. If you’ve ever wondered why you can’t keep your putter square through your stroke, you need to look into this brand. If you do get one it does take a bit of getting used to. You’ll try to manipulate the swing like you’ve had to with your old putter.
@@chiefnakoma how is your custom DF3 putter, I’m currently waiting on mine. As good as the hype? Sure hope so😃 Did you go standard weight or heavy? Thanks
@@Rusabs1012 I love my DF3. Best putter I've owned. I don't change putters often, but was missing putts inside 10 feet due to not starting ball on line. This thing is so automatic at starting online. You'll soon find out your green reading skills might not be great as ball will roll end over end perfectly on a misread and miss. Like the LAB videos suggest, play the ball more towards your front foot than traditional putter, practice some with thumbs off to promote using your shoulders and bigger muscles rather than manipulation with hands/wrists. I was instantly a better putter inside 15 feet. I did struggle for a bit with lag putting as with no torque it feels different. I believe with a traditional putter I would use my wrists, open and close the club face and accelerate more, but with no torque on lag I had to take the putter back a little further. This may be confusing, but don't get discouraged if lag putting takes a bit of practice to adjust. Just spend time working on distance control at a putting green from 20,30,40 feet if you struggle. I went heavy head. Hope you enjoy yours. I've got tons of confidence with this putter and believe it's worth the hype.
@@chiefnakoma amazing, exactly what I wanted to hear 😀. I can’t wait to get it, I went heavier also. I did read a bit about getting used to lag putts will take a bit more time but I have access to practice areas so I’ll make sure I practice longer putts for a while. I have been struggling with putts inside 6ft, , I don’t feel in control really, almost like the putter is too light on the head and moving a lot which gives me complete lack of confidence. I done the online fitting to give myself the best possible chance of getting the correct set up for me. I appreciate you getting back to me with some great info. Thanks 🙏

I felt the same way about the mezz. DF3 w/steel just felt right for me. Thanks for sharing!
Nice review. Thanks! Curious... How is the weight/feel of the DF3 compared to other putters like the Odyssey 2 ball or the Spider Tour?
Good question! I have played with both. I did not like the 2 ball bc the white hot insert was too punchy for me. I do like the spider tour. The LAB putter is a little heavier but not a struggle to hold. In terms of feel, very stable. Just smooth from back to finish. Hope that helps!
@@FiredBirdieGolf Thank you! I was hoping it was slightly heavier. I am going to try them at PGA SS next week. Thanks again for the review!
They are not pricey! People drop $600 or more on a driver without blinking and clearly a putter is the most important club in the bag.
Driver prices have gotten out of hand.

I agree!
Maybe one day ill try it in a broomstick... but don't see it replacing my mezz max broom 🙂 looks dope though!
How do you like your broomstick? Every time I try it, I like it. Kind of open to making the switch too.

Look like he has the stock shaft in there. It’s the only one they sell that is stepped.
My DF3 is a stock shaft. I have MEZZ.1 Max with the Accra shaft and actually prefer the stock shaft on the DF3.
For me. The accra shaft feels so much better for me. A lot softer as well. But that's just me and what I wanted

Same here. Though I’ve been liking the broomstick lately. We shall see.

This is a paid promo. No putters are cheat codes, it may help but stop it with the cheat bullshit.
