I replaced my 2015 with LEDs. Same process but I would not detach wires until the dust cover and bulb are out. A lot easier. In fact, no real need to detach wire connector on outside of dust cover. Taking out battery also a big help to get to driver side bulb.
I have a 2013 RDX and had to change the low beam bulbs because one burned out. I found it was not necessary to disconnect the wire on the back of the cap. I just removed the cap and removed the bulb with all other wiring untouched. Worked just fine. In my case, there may be an issue with the driver side cap or the housing it sits in because it wasn't installed completely when I went to open it and I couldn't get it to close completely either. Fortunately, the passenger side worked just fine.
The prior bar is a risking approach. You are likely to break off one of the tabs, which will make taking the plastic cap off even harder. The rubber seal on the cap is there for a reason. It keeps water away from light and to make this simple task ten times harder. If there is ever a chemical attack on your location, climb in with the headlamp, you'll be well protected.
Can you say why exactly did you replace the bulb? Was it too dim? I have a 2014 RDX with very dim short beams. I ask because I have read that the root cause of most dim headlights is due to issues with the projector and not the bulbs, I’m no expert, I just need to know before I get into some rabbit hole. Thanks.
Don't ever pay $400 to replace a bulb. You should be able to get that bulb replaced by anyone with a just a little mechanical ability to do it for say about $50 . That dealer should give you $350 of that back to you; what a rip off. Also watch a different video; it's a bit of a pain but definately not worth hundreds of dollars.

Exactly, finally some smart guy. it is pretty obvious that you don't detach wire from outside of dust connector.
I have a 2013, this was super helpful!!
The video is of a 2013-15 the 07-12 have a 4 cylinder turbo 😂

Working on my 2013, the pry bar broke a piece of the covering, making it harder to remove
That’s not a 2012 sir, that body style is 2013-15 🤦🏾♂️
you said the headlight but you only replace the daylight
That looks difficult, ugh. The dealer charged me $400 for my last one to get changed. I dont want to give them $400 again.

I am not sure why the cover takes an UNGODLY amount of torque to remove 😂
This is NOT a 2012 acura - more like 2013
Thats not a 2012 its a 2015 🤡🤡🤡🤡
2013 to 2015
Would it be easier to remove the battery?
@@antonio1729yes and safer. That screwdriver slips and hits that negative terminal and he’ll learn to remove the battery…
