    For those looking for a solution to changing the passenger side headlight bulb. Here is what you have to do, no tools...works with big hands too! Step #1, gently take the coolant overflow tank off it's front clip, by pulling it upward and off the small metal post, this will give you about 2 more inches of room to get your hand into the headlight assembly. Step #2, remove the rubber cover off the back of the light. Step #3, unclip the power to the bulb and remove it. Step#4. Put a new bulb into the assembly and lock it into position. The plug and socket will nicely line up. Step#5 Just guide the plug into the socket and squeeze them together until you hear that nice click. Step #6, put the rubber cover back on and put the coolant overflow tank back onto its clip.

      This is the exact proceedure for the other side. The coolant tank is in the way and the electrical lead is too short. The only other thing I can add is to wear gloves, especially when install the new bulb. This prevents touching the bulb glass with your fingers.

    Low beam fuse location?

    • @JrZCarZ
      @JrZCarZ  ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you have your owners manual? It would show you in there, but the better question is why you're looking at the fuse? Is the light still not working after replacing the bulb?

    • @JrZCarZ
      @JrZCarZ  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds like you need to do some testing of the wire harness to see what the issue is. If the fuse was blown that means there's a problem in the wiring that caused the fuse to blow. I would start by checking the ground.

    Anybody can replace the driver's side headlight. Not too hard to figure out. The passenger side is another story. Why is it that everybody who makes one of these videos shows how to replace the driver's side when they should show the passenger side?

    • @JrZCarZ
      @JrZCarZ  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Move the coolant overflow tank and you have all the room to replace the bulb

    • @franks2910
      @franks2910 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'll let you know. But why do they do that? I've changed the bulbs and the battery on all my cars for over 50 years. It just gets worse and worse every year. I remember an old Chevy from around 63. I think it was a Biscayne. Changed the starter from under the hood on the street.@@JrZCarZ

      @@franks2910 that's a very good question. They pack so much unnecessary junk in the engine bays now it's ridiculous. I had to replace a heater core line in this Escape a couple weeks ago and I had to take all of the cowl off to get to it. My 69 Mercury Monterey I can stand in the engine bay, even with a 390 in it. 😁
