Parents had this exact model. Trying to use this thing at 7 years old was quite a chore. Especially when I placed it too low...I can still smell that rubber belt burning.
@@beko1987 Huh? I worked for Kirby for 7 years and just found a perfectly fine one exactly like this at my dumpster. It floats like a dream. Just like a new Kirby. I've downloaded many older models up against the Sentria. What's the bag system with this one? I haven't took it out of my car yet.
Hey Sam. I love the legends my heritage II needs refurbing but I can’t do it anymore ( stupid hands don’t work like they did lol not very good for 41 ) got a G4 as well that needs doing as well that also needs a new tech drive
Just got a legend 2 myself - looking forward to using it - your video gives gives it some promise Sam - a very competent cleaner and thought I'd never say that about any kirby
Bar being heavy to push their wonderful! Not got this anymore but have a Heritage One which is basically the same and it's good. See the Sebo rug cleaning video for how not to use it but also what could happen... 😂 A good rug renovator then a good session with a vax 121 or aquamaster or whatever with just water in yo flush the grit out and it'd be good!
Haha ..... Good old dirt meters. I sold them for a time. I'd imagine you could sweet talk your local distributor into ordering or selling one. Using a dirt meter is satisfying and always reminds me & OTHERS that any Kirby is better than the newest Dyson.
ibaisaic You know I'm amazed you haven't got one already tbh! Nice little things, my mum loves hers! Plus the belts fit everything small, including Hoover brush vacs! I'll be filming mums soon, got another dirt devil upright on the way when it gets relayed by some collectors down from northernshire, so will have 3 to compare. Also means I can't just throw the lux clone dirt devil in the skip when this month is through! Promised the brushroll to someone for a contour though so I'll swap a worn one in that I have
I knew of them of course, but was never tempted to buy one when they were in the shops. Saw one in good condition with tools on ebay and bought it. I've got a couple of belts and bags on the way, but it worked very well even with an old belt. Tool suction is shite though.
I now have his exact machine. Just replaced brushroll on it, with sone new bags. It was on it's original brushbar and still worked well, now.... wow! A bit too powerful at times and for some reason it doesn't have the Micromatic screw on it, so I'm guessing the height adjustment has been replaced at some point :-)
im having a little bit of trouble from my nib kirby heritage 2. the the belt stops spinning and it melts through the belt. its also rather hard to push around compared to my heritage 1
you have your brush tool set to low in the head (2 adjustment screws) wind then up a bit of it'll shake apart the bearings in the brush roll. I had 2 Kirby's happend to my first.. whoops
i am a proud owner of that same kirby model in new zealand cool as kirby of the older kirby's vacuums before the tech drive g3 I am old school when it comes to technonogy that worked from day one.

Trying to use it at 35 years old on the wrong carpet is still a chore 😂 Tech Drive was a huge improvement on that

Never get rid of this Sam. You'll always have a vacuum no matter what life throws your way!
There should be a clip on the Bach of the handle assembly to secure the wire.
I always liked the color of that machine. I, also, loved the color scheme of the Classic 3 as well.

In my opinion these were the best Kirby’s made.
I got this same model vacuum today my very first kirby and I am sooooo excited ...really want to get a dirt meter for it!

Got to love the Heritage II line.
I was using rolled oats in a video I made today and got similar agitation but on a much smaller scale using something in devil red.👹
Do we have to play guess the vac now? Dirt devil handy?
Handy Zip!

That sounds fun... Brushroll or something equally simple?
are you going to be doing anymore carboot tales ?
Sam's carboot sales video were great weren't they

I bought one of these from the carboot for a very small price of £2.50. Because the guy couldn’t get the main head on probably so it didn’t work
Ha bargain!

Nice home Sam
