Hey man, love your videos and recommend that my HVAC employees subscribe and learn from guys like you. The one thing I noticed on this video is that the insulation liner was loose and sucking into the indoor blower. I see that problem especially on Rheem and Ruud package units and pretty much on all brands.

I am retired have been since I was 63 and I just turned 71. I was going to work until I was 67 but health issues intervened. We don't have as many package units here in Oklahoma.
we always called them cat claw. if you cut them back leaving a stem long enough to put into a bottle with roundup in it it will kill it. sucks it all the way back to the bulb and some have multiple bulbs depending how old it is.
All because of the valve core. Did both leak detectors work? Many of those old units just keep on pumping. 26 years old, they don't make them like that anymore. Good call
Whats with Georgia and all those package units on residential? Seems so odd to me, those units are generally only seen on commercial applications in my neck of the woods (Australia) 🤘
That's true, and I am in the states. I have seen more of the vertical type in my area, and almost all commercial. It may be those older homes being built off the ground, just guessing.

Good morning Curtis. Just another day in paradise my friend.
Good morning!
Love it when you have to cut the customers foliage away from the unit, just to gain access. My former boss used to call it Italian gardening.
LOL, especially when you can eat it.
Great job! Happy Memorial Day. I think I remember you saying your family has a long history of military service so Thanks for their service
They do. Thanks
I concur
Good job Curtis, we are now getting 0c early mornings with a white frost but sunny days follow, 100kms south of Sydney 😅 Au
Nice work 😊
We use to call those Wait A Minute vines when you walk into one you are going to wait a minute.
lol, that's funny, but not while it's happening.

Nice work Curtis getting the costumer air thanks for the video
Thanks for the Sunday video. Haven't seen those weeds in a while, when I was a kid we clumped them in the description as "Stickerbriars" 😁
Nice work Curtis.
take pliers & close the end that goes over Shrader valve, it's out of adjustment

I’m hearing all the police cars in the background, and I’m yelling…get out there! 😮
I'm shocked - shocked I tell you! - that the only leak you could find was from the service port.
13:50 I saw that Schrader in the sight glass *_in the video_* probably hard to see otherwise 😊
Curtis the HVAC GUY AND LANDSCAPING GUY
A-10 leak detector is a solid detector

nice Rheem job! 😆🤣😂
Did you use r22 or mo99 on charging
Nice professional repair
Why buy multiple leak detectors, get a GE h10 and it will never let you down.
That only picks up CFC refrigerants though.
At least not reliably. HFC's is screws up on for some reason. Just struggles to get them.
5:25. Is there a cap on the end of that wand?
do you charge extra for the gardening?
👍👍👍
do you clean that core remover when you get oil in it like that to avoid cross containing in 410
I just hold it up and let it drain out
Curtis, are all replacement valve stems created equal?? Do you need special ones for R22 vs R134a? Just curious...
They are all the same.

They're cheap so they're used a lot in really cheap houses or as a cheap replacement.
Better than entering an attic with 3 ft. Of head space when it's 95 degrees F
Where is the EVAP coil in a package unit if theres no air handler
That’s what I was leak checking
Everything inside package unit. Only thing in house is duct work an thermostat
