Hey friends, it’s time for one of the most exciting videos for me every year! I’m sharing some NEW favorite recipes from the Pioneer Woman herself. You’re gonna love these, two of them are casserole or skillet type dishes, one is a beautiful salad, and I'm even sharing another brownie recipe after last year's debacle. I love watching Pioneer Woman every week, but I don't cook her recipes very often. These look good. I've been working through my oldest food in my deep freezer too (some as far back as 2020 which have been well frozen in vacuum seal bags.) Also been taking advantage of our "tax free food period" here in Tennessee and restock on meat sales. 😂

Sam's has rotisserie chkn for 5.00....I take them and split in half for 2 meals....i usually grab 2 of them for the freezer.....good flavor...
I love watching the pioneer woman but haven't tried too many of her recipes
24:09 Mel, the lettuce tip you gave us. I do that. My granny would buy a head of iceberg lettuce and she would take off the first two layers of leaves and remove the core ofc, then washed it well n throughly..Sat it on paper towels to dry it out a little b4 storing it in a lettuce bowl with a paper towel and then placed it around the lettuce head. It would last up to two weeks. It's amazing how it stays fresh, green and crisp!

U speak my language of NO DISHES, Mel! I love keeping everything to a minimum too. All these recipes look absolutely scrumptious but I am mesmerized by that salad! I never would have thought about squash in a lettuce type salad! The maple & cranberries will be perfect for Thanksgiving too! Thanks for this new collection to add to my "tried & true" section!

It's just them living there and their children are grown n outta the house with their own little families and you remind me of Mrs. Janice. She could be ur twin. You would be amazed & shocked by how much you two look alike. She has that sweet, soft voice real calming tone and she loves quick n easy crock pot meals for her and her hubby to enjoy b4 he leaves for work 3rd shift. I'm going to introduce her to ur channel. I believe she could really love you as much as I do. She's a very busy working mom who tries to take care of everything and everyone so her hubby n her takes turns cooking so dinner is on the table so they can eat together b4 he leaves 4 work. I think these meals would fit perfectly 4 them. She's going to be blown away when she sees you. She's not going to believe how much you look like her. She wears the glasses too. R u sure you don't have a twin in SC? It would be pretty amazing. It's a small world and u never know. My aunt was a twin who died at birth so her mom was told but about 7 years ago my aunt discovered her twin sister on Facebook and they only lived 4 miles apart and ran into each other at Walmart. We found out my aunts birth father put the baby up for adoption. Back in the day it was a home birth. So it was kept a secret. It was devastating for my aunt n her twin sister but they are doing great today and making up the time that was stolen from them. Sorry to get off topic. I'm a talker. 😆

Me and my husband are celebrating our 30 years of marriage in October. We are from East Tennessee and would love to do a weekend getaway and are willing to travel 3 to 5 hours to get to the destinations. Any suggestions on where to stay or things to do?

Hey Mel, these recipes look good, especially the chicken bacon ranch casserole! I've been following Pioneer Woman for years but somehow missed these brownies! Don't feel bad, my knock you naked brownies were a flop too! I struggled with them and I didn't think they were very tasty either so I've never tried them again!

I would put mine in a food vacuum sealer . Then freeze it .
You should make it clear the hard butternut squash you can chop and freeze , but yellow squash that have not been blanched, it will be a awful texture when cooked from the freezer
I use frozen chopped onions all the time. That salad did look interesting.
I love the frozen chopped veggies, and if I have any onion or peppers going bad on me - I just chop and freeze them myself, too. And that salad was very good, very different than any I've made before but really tasty. Thanks so much for watching

Love your channel. Everything looks so good! That salad looks amazing but I'm not a fan of butternut squash. Maybe if I roast it in the oven with some cinnamon like you did, I might like it better. I also do not like feta cheese. I could use something else there too. Going to give those brownies a try for sure!
Not a fan of cream of mushroom soup. Any suggestions on what I could substitute for it in the cowboy casserole?
You could use any "cream of" soup or maybe one of the cheese soups would be good, or just some milk and sour cream mixed together. Thanks for watching and hope this helps

How long dose the chicken stay goodin the freezer
I would say at least 3 or 4 months, mine never lasts too long. But it's nice to have it on hand
