    Because the car has ludicrous badging, I believe Elon will later on offer us an upgrade horsepower for $2000 or so, that is. pure profit for Tesla. Like the power boost on the 3 and Y. Maybe 2.6, 0-60. I hope I am right, I get my car on June 6.

    Between the correct badging, and also the badging in the performance seats, it seems like at least for the American market. This should be a shoot into uncork it easily. The reasons why you can get a software boost for the Long Range is that the model per software is not using all the max discharge power of the battery. However,
      LG 5L battery: Maximum Discharge Power 416kW. The Pannasonic is close to 460kw. Yes maybe Tesla doesnt use all 100% without a boost or update. Im just saying you will never be able to get more then the max discharge power. Its not a software but a hardware issue in this case. Meaning while the M3LR is software locked the M3P is hardware locked.

    There's no doubt they'll come out with an acceleration boost for "ludicrous mode," in my opinion. It'd be sacrilegious to brand it with a ludicrous badge to just have insane mode. Considering the acceleration boost isn't even available yet for the long range, I think they'll probably unveil the software upgrade at one of their video recorded events to get people hyped up again. I do think that with the ludicrous mode, they'll probably have the same disclaimer they used to have on the Model S Raven that it could cause premature wear to the components. With the cooling technology offered in this car, I'm hoping it'll be able to accommodate the kind of energy discharge from the batteries that full power acceleration will require. I guess only time will tell, but I'm not too worried about picking one up and it not being able to reach its full potential in the relative near future. It's already a flagship for the segment and that'll probably take it to around 2.5s 0-60, which will be perfect!

But since my 2022 was one of the first ones (12-21 build) i only got the heated wheel and round speakers, i dont have the AMD chip that came a month later and was so pissed when I found out. But that would make it slower than the old Performance Model as that was already measured with 480 hp on the wheels, so the Battery has to give even more. I have the Lg 79 Battery in my Model Y with Acceleration Boost and i got readings from Scan My Tesla with 506hp delivered to the motors and about 530hp maximum from the Battery.
      I think Tesla is underpromising here as this is the only Model 3 with 3 Driving Modes. For the old Model 3 and Y it was ok to drive in Sport all day and now it would be slower with buttons to make it even more slower? I think that the Standart Mode will be on Level with Model 3 Lr and Loudicrous will be way faster than Model 3 Performance, espacially at faster speeds. Tesla also said it will be 32% faster than old Model, that would even make the not US Model with 10% less Power way faster than old Mo3 P. But lets see, im very thrilled for the first Drag Races/ Measurements!!!

    • @valuemastery
      @valuemastery 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@D00MINIKLower power does not translate to lower 0-100 acceleration times. Yes, it's only 460 hp. But don't forget that this is maximum power output, that is only reached at higher speed (previous Model 3s reached max power at about 80 km/h). Until that point, power starts at 0 hp and grows linearly to max power depending on torque. And the new M3P has higher torque of 723 Nm, compared to only 660 for the previous model.
      This means, that - even if max power output is lower - the point of max power is reached faster. Or in other words, the new M3P has *higher* power output at the same speeds than the old model, but stops at 460 hp, when the old model still continues to increase power. But at that point, the new model has already reached a higher speed.

      theres just general inconsistencies. the Europe version is not slower than the US version. they use different batteries, but in testing they are identical. infact the europe version (chinese source batteries) boast slightly better perfromance characteristics and less degradation. but in the grand scheme of things, the two versions are practically identical. same 0-60 times, same range, same in gear acceleration (from a roll) and the same eficiencies.

      @Vonliten he’s totally incorrect. It’s fine to say that Europe is getting same power performance on the low end, but to say it’s even better than the US batteries in terms of torque, 0-60, overall performance, and efficiency is wrong. Some people can’t accept the fact that they’re getting a lesser product and have to convince themselves that it’s better. Tesla shouldn’t be doing this to begin with, but it’s not good to give incorrect info also.

      @@vandit6521 400kg less would maybe be enough for 460hp to be as fast as the i4 M50i, but 3,1s nearly a quarter faster it has to has much more power than 544hp, even with the lower weight. Take, for example, the last fastest Tesla Model S Performance with 680hp was measured by Motortrend with 2.3s, the Plaid needed 350hp more with 1020 to be only 0.3s faster, so it needed more than 50% more Power for that.
      So i think Model 3 needs the 620hp to has a chance of 2.9s 0-60mph, also Tesla is normally calculating in Kw, because that is the universal measurement for electricity power and all electric motors are calculated with that.

    Tesla is quoting “all wheel drive” horsepower at ” the wheels”with the 510…kind of like Bmw does. Tesla’s Hp is measured with drivetrain loss factored in. At the crank that is about 610-620. That is what most car companies such as the Ford Mustang Dark Horse are quoting as 500 hp. I thought you would know this.

      There's minimal drivetrain loss with EVs. Check how they're constructed. Two cogwheels from motor to wheels. If there was 20% loss on that connection, EVs could never be as energy efficient as they are. Also, on recuperation, energy flows the same way, only in the opposite direction, which would mean another 20% loss. So that's already 36% of energy lost when recuperating, even before charging losses in the battery occur. No way.
