One of those was my first motorcycle. Still riding today present bike BMW R1250RT. Traded the Titan in on a GS 750. One of the biggest issues with the 500 was the small gas tank range about 110 miles maybe a bit more if memory serves me correctly. I ran out of gas in the mountains while riding one Sunday and decided to coast as far as I could before I started walking. I was at the top of a hill nothing but woods around me. Coasted down the hill gaining speed all the time and rolled part way up the other side and into one of those old style gas stations. I might have been able to go 50 feet past it before I ran out of momentum. Stopped at the pump island and rang the bell and the guy that cane out said that was the quietest motorcycle he ever heard. Give you an idea of how long ago this was attendants came out to pump gas for customers. 46 years ago.
The T500 has a 14 litre fuel tank, good fuel consumption and a range of around 250 kilometres. I never ran out of fuel even on long trips in Australia.
@@nickstevens3139 In America Nick, the larger fuel tank was available on the 1976 model year mine was a 1975 with the small tank. I put about 25000 miles on that bike the first year I had it and learned to ride it in the snow. That was back in the day of the universal Japanese motorcycle and the new big bikes were the honda 750 4 and the Kawasaki z-1. The t 500 brings back lots of fond memories.
Had this exact same bike. Bought it in 1974 and drove it until the early 1980s. Never had one problem with this bike. Add gas and oil, periodically and that was it...Such great memories.
Damn, that is one clean Titan. I had a '74 T500L as a teenager and rode it everywhere, including cross country. A very capable and reliable bike, and the oil injection made fueling a breeze. It'll do over a hundred mph, it just takes a little while to get there.
I have two of these in my life time love them i still have one t500j orange and white good not as good as yours i would like to get tank trims can you help thanks me 66 years old thanks
Also had a 72 T 500J , orange colour. Had it 2 years. Sold it so we could afford a washer and dryer. All I did to it was replaced the rear sprocket with one which had 1 more tooth. Made all the difference.
Just sent this link to my brother. Lots of companies mentioned. th-cam.com/video/yV6slEChS18/w-d-xo.html Maybe there's an owner's club? I'm located in Germany, so I don't know. My brother has T500's: suzukit500wjemcopipes
I'll never forget that sound! It was the first street bike I had. This is the same year and color as mine.

60~70年代のスズキのマシンは、どれも独特な魅力があるんですよね!(*≧∀≦*)
My favourite Suzuki. ❤ I rode many kms on a GT750, too big and heavy with little performance advantage.
I bought one identical to that one new in spring of 73. I was 16 years old. If i remember right it was around 800 dollars.
Mine cost me $867 Australian dollars in 1971.
Had a 72. Think it was about $1200 in Canada. Would have preferred the new 4 cylinder Honda 500 but it was around $2000.
カッコいい! 😄
