Hi Cary...Thanks very much. I really like that livery so I hope I'll be able to get it right. Should look really nice as an 11 car set. All the best :)
Hi Jim, thanks for watching. Yes, it's a well modelled set and very good for the price (£25 +p&p). The original set was made by Lima and it still pops up now and then on Ebay. I'm in the process of converting this one to track power. Yes, the TGVs are fantastic machines. I had a look at some of your high speed train videos recently...Really beautiful models. Thanks again and all the best :)
@@tomjenssen7486 Superb work Tom, It will be a unique model when finished.. P.s I have a new class 407 velaro but I have to convert all the coach wheel sets to d.c I will show soon I think you will like it....
Hi tom. That is a very impressive train it looks good love the colour and it seems to run well, and I think it will look well in the black & metallic grey. Regards George...
Hi George..Thanks :) Yes, the Bordeaux is a superb colour and the train has a good motor unit. There's no noticeable difference in the speed with all 8 cars, so I'm pleased with that. 11 cars next time...then the new livery. Thanks again and all the best.
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment...much appreciated. Yes, surprisingly well modeled for a budget set. A great way to get started with high speed trains. This is very similar to the Amtrak Acela, I'd love to see a set in Amtrak livery. All the best...Tom
Hi mate I very much enjoy your videos on high speed trains and am considering buying one. But, I'm having a lot of trouble finding out what high speed trains are available in ho scale and N scale. I do like N scale but I don't think kato make many hi speed train types. I love the eurostar, all ICE trains and the Spanish trains are they all available to buy as a model? Many thanks. Grant
Hi Grant, thanks for commenting. All my high speed trains are battery operated (which I convert to track power) and converted Hornby Juniors (that require much more work) For me, it's a cheap and fun way to create full length HSTs. I find myself very much attracted to the Kato N scale as the make a range of Shinkansen bullet trains and they have a great system of sets which can be used to build up a layout. There are many HSTs available in H0 scale. I recommend Marklin if you want an ICE or Mehano if you want Spanish. I hope this is helpful. All the best....Tom
Yeah, they're very good for the money and quite well modelled (apart from having no glazing.) This set has a great sound too...I might leave the wheels as they are and just use metal ones where I need pick-ups. All the best mate.
Cheers Fred :) Yes, £105 and I can make an 11 car set (I'm making the 11th car right now) I;m waiting on a small sheet of copper so I can put together the some pick-up bogies for track power. I'm looking forward to giving this one a new livery. All the best mate :)
Wow, beautiful set and it seems to run great. And you can't beat the price, nice work Tom can't wait to see the new color scheme
Hi Mike, thanks :) Yes, it's a great set for the price and quite a strong runner. I've started some of the mods for this. All the best mate
Very impressive train run Tom. I like the idea of color change to the black and metallic gray. Cary

Dont you know are there metal models of this 575 train in existence? With plastic glass in front it would be amazing!
