$6k for a Speedmaster reduced is laughable

@@michaelsand4573 You don't need to be into the watch market to understand that the guy in the video is blatantly lying about basically every single price. That Omega Speedmaster Reduced is in shitty condition. You could get one in very good condition for closer to 3K USD.

@@hashinici6422 As watch enthusiasts, our prices on watches are warped. 1k for a watch is overpriced. Ask people on the street if they will spend 1k on a watch. They 49 out 50 will say that is insanely overpriced.

He was wrong when he said the grail watch had a Rolex movement. It has the Valjoux 727 movement which is an outsourced movement.
in general, most of them are way overpriced compared to today's market. Speedy reduced goes for half of that, explorer not first edition goes for around 20, speedy japan for under 15, rolex precision mickey for around 4 etc etc... loads of crap from these guys

The vintage daytona has valjoux movement, not in house like the man claims. Not sure if they know what they are selling

It had the manual wind Valjoux 72 first at 18,000 and the to 21,600 beat rate adapted by Rolex until 1988 then Rolex adopted and modified the Zenith El Primero automatic Chronograph reducing the beat rate from 36,000 to 28,800

@@casa5095 I was going to say the same thing and the hands are brand new. No way a 1963 sub with a band so stretched so obviously worn everyday is going to have a dial and hands in that as new condition! Aside from the big red Daytona and the Patel and VC all these watches are wrong in one way or the other, god help the guy who buys the “Paul Newman “ the only thing pn about it is the dial, the bezel is wrong, no original strap and did you notice the case back gasket hanging out the back of the case!!!
@@ianmedium the dead giveaway for the sub is that is doesn’t have a meters first dial when it should have one. Meters first produced till about 1969 for subs. Patina hasn’t got anything to do with how much you but rather with the amount of sunlight it got. Also the tritium can have very big differences in the way it patinas over time
There are only to options here; they don’t know the market prices of most of the watches they are selling, or they see this TH-cam video with our beloved Producer Michael as an opportunity to sell these watches for more than the current market price.

@@jp23x MIchael is a watch collector yes, but not a watch enthusiast. Michael is a value/investment enthusiast. Notice first question he asks it's the value. If its a high value hes interested if its not move along. He couldn't care less about the history of the piece, its movement, how it works, the technology of the new movements behind the new watches etc...

That first Seamaster needs a service, the chrono hand is way off. The second one's hour indicator hadn't reset, he didn't operate or wind any of them, these guys should discuss condition and history,but as a vintage guy im seeing red flags.
The explorer didnt start up, nor did the sub so the movements are tired. Also they didn't know Zenith made vintage Daytona movements, this is a bit of a amateur shizzle show Im sorry, not trolling but this is a really dissapointing episode.

Well the pre-1988 Daytona had Valjoux 72 movements, not Zenith... Still they had no idea, for a professional seller that has bought valuable Daytona's like this it's kind of strange they did not know.

The 6263 Daytona uses a manual wind Valjoux 727 movement. The Zenith is reference 16520.

My 1981 Daytona Panda Big Red 6263 has the Valjoux manual movement and Acrylic crystal, Zenith-powered generation arrived in 1988.

That Daytona 6263 condition is very bad, and they said its unpolished. The dial on the Newman looks very suspicious.
The 70s Daytona was featured on Antiques Roadshow USA, some hippy Vietnam Vet had it.
Looks like the gasket is coming out from the back as well

The Submariner in 1963 had Gilt Chapter Ring Meter first dial or underline dial…not that one …6264 have black bezel and pump buttons…maybe is a 6265…lots of mistakes but beautiful video
Agree on the Sub. That looks like a 5513 made after 1969. I’m not well versed enough to know which year, but it’s definitely a matte feet first dial that wasn’t produced until 1969.

Valjoux 72 movement in those 2 vintage Daytonas not a Rolex movement. I’m a bit surprised the man selling it doesn’t know that.

The Paul Newman Daytona sold at The Phillips Auction House for 17.5 million dollars. Paul Newman’s daughter was on hand for the sale.
