Fun fact: when these came out they were some reason cheaper than backpack expander itself so I mass bought couple of them opened them and sell the backpackpack expander for profit and kept or sold rest I did good amount of profit with it

I've always loved these kind of items. I don't know exactly why, but maybe it's the fact that they're no longer given out but still exist as pieces of Steam/TF2 history. It's no burning flames team captain, but it's still a cool little curiosity.
The novelty of it and the rarity it holds is neat, I'd never own a BF Team Captain but I'd sure as hell own one of these
I'm a medic main, so when you got the cosmetic for medic I was so happy for you bc it's cool, but then I heard "UEEEHHHH I DON'T PLAY MEDIC" and it made me laugh lol

I am good at medic, the issue is that the team never appreciates the medic.
@@Klipsbits I try to change that stigma, I always thank my medics and engis personally either over voice or with the command while nodding at them so they know it's not just the automatic one.

Fun tidbit about the two backpack icons of the backpack and gift shown at 1:47. When the big repo leak happened in January 2023, we got PSD files for a lot of the backpack icons. Hidden in the smart objects of those two icons, underneath the gun shaped wrapping paper, was the Informer tranq gun model from the Workshop. Back around 2014 before Love & War/Expiration Date, engine binaries were found to contain functions related to a brand new version of the tranq gun. I had known about the new tranq gun for a while before the repo leak happened and I had speculated it was the Informer model and was finally proven right with the leak. I think they reused those icons for the expiration date bundle or something.
I used to be big into the cut content side of things and ran the TF2CutContent X page before I quit TF2 and started focusing on going fishing.
