@@theshanaman7805 MM1 was more fun to watch Ryu play because he's amazing and can utterly destroy trash levels in completely hilarious ways. MM2 is substantially better for most players, though, since its mechanics were improved and the Booing system filtered out garbage levels. But without the trash, it's not quite as much fun to watch Ryu.

This should be a good example for a lot of TH-camrs nowadays, i feel like all my subs i have to skip 2-3 mins of it because they have to say there speech Every, Single, Time.

spelunky is one of the best platformers out there i'm sure ryu would love it.
You’d definitely love it, but it might be a bit ambitious for a single video. Don’t expect to get out of the first world or two unless you’re willing to sink 20+ hours into it.

I do want to say, that as a follower on TH-cam since about 2016, I do appreciate the kid friendly language on your videos. You are one of the few MM guys I follow where my daughter can watch it without it on mute. Normally I keep my headphones in but, with you, she enjoys them wide open.
The first level was part of the Chopped challenge by AlienToyShop. He's been very active in the community so I think a lot of people might already know about this. He selects 4 items, a game style and level; then goes through submissions "taste testing" them to feature the good and the bad on his Twitch channel. A lot of them were done with no intent of malice, but there was a Troll week, a Garbage week, and a word precision week, which I disliked. However I think contest levels tend to be better than the generic levels that people usually upload... I personally think we need more level contests in the community, THAB did one recently and people really stepped up their level design in an effort to win. Lately AlienToyShop doesn't do Mario Streams as often anymore, but I still think his Chopped challenge added so many good levels into the game.

Really it was a good level, just as many other great levels though it had one janky trick that was more luck than challenge to get it to line up.
For such a short run and few levels, they were all pretty top teir levels. Strange to get such a run (all be it short) of good challenging levels.
@@outcast170 Wasn't too bad of a jank, more so the coins didn't indicate the blind fall well at all. They would have been better to have an off center coin indicating the snowball grab all though would look ugly af.
Exactly, the level as a whole wasn't jank, just that ONE move. If it was just a matter of indicators, it wouldn't have been so bad the second time around (it was obvious he did need to grab the snowball and where he had to be to grab it). But it wasn't JUST the position of Mario, but the method and direction to grab, without losing it from a mole-faceplant immediately after.
Like many many speedrun levels that fail because 1 move only lines up 1/3 of the time.

With the sn30 pro plus, you can move the home button to the other side with the software. That's what I did.
yeah, it's an awesome controller, but the home button is placed really unfortunate. It's basically the only thing that annoys me on that. Even on PC when the button does nothing, it can ruin your input-combinations... can be avoided by angling your thumb more when using the buttons, but I wish you could just deactivate the button function altogether, so it won't even be recognized as an input.... gotta take a look if the software allows for that
It's still a terrible bit of kit.

for extraordinarily hard games, I'd suggest either blaster master or bionic commando on nes. Both are brutal, but super fun.

Ryu, you are using 8BitDo's SN30 Pro Plus. It comes with software you can use on your computer. If you hook it up to your computer via usb cable and use the software, you can rebind the home button to be the share button and just unbind the share capability cause it's a waste of a button anyways. It does save it to your controller when you disconnect so it will carry over to your switch.

I think the mole indicator on the snowball level was trying to tell you that you need to position above the monty mole but turn back and grab the snowball when it's on the left, rather than try to swoop over monty after the grab.

I've been trying to beat Toy Story for the Sega Genesis. I would consider it a pretty hard game as I have yet to beat it all the way without cheats. I can barley get past "the claw". And your extraordinary hard games is your best series in my opinion.
