yo there's ANOTHER no skip video coming on thursday, which is an alternate episode 50. it uses one of the more gimmicky suggestions that got lots of upvotes on one of my recent videos. so it's a 2 for 1 deal this week. i hope you enjoy this one. i know people tend to like the longer videos so i thought this one would fit the bill (unless i crashed and burned immediately)
Hey Ryu, just wanted to drop by and say thank you! You made me want to play Mario again! I bought New Super Mario Bros. for my good old Wii. I'm having a ton of fun! :)
Did anyone else noticed 20:17 ? Ryukahr got an extra life so he actually beat his first run with 53 lives rather than 52. ...Not that it would have made any difference considering how he was letting the lives bleed by the end and at several parts where he got particularly frustrated. So much for making the most out of every life. But I don't blame him tho, I can only imagine how draining a super expert marathon like that one must have felt like. Regular super expert is already a form of torture as is. Yet Ryu went ahead and overcame TWO full runs like a champ. No matter how you look at it, that was truly extraordinary to say the least, so who are we to ask for more?
The most likely scenario is that it was from the clip before. Ryu looked as though he was about to laugh then it cut to the next clip. The audio may not have split at the same point as the video.

Surviving a Super Expert run is always an impressive feat but completing multiple runs without extra lives is stuff of legends! I felt that you could've gone on even longer but all the hot garbage drained your life energy pretty fast and that last level was already too much to take. Thanks for 50 videos of pure fun, I'm already thinking about new ideas for the 100th Super Expert video! :)

Level ratings for the first run 1. 2/5 - Soft locks, but otherwise just not that good 2. 3/5 - some interesting parts, rare kaizo blocks, more fun than pain 3. 1/5 - no checkpoint, hidden key, blind jump, slow autoscroll 4. 3/5 - neat idea, not the best execution 5. 1/5 - even the creator couldn't stand to play the whole level 6. 3/5 - fun little survival level, reasonable timer Average rating: 2.3/5 - less fun than playing minesweeper for the same amount of time
That Parkour in the city level was actually pretty legit. It lacked a bit of polish like coin guides and arrows, but all the actual platforming seemed pretty solid. Most importantly, it had great style. Sure, it was pretty simplistic overall, but it had me thinking of New Donk City the whole time. So I'd say it was pretty successful in that respect. It deserved a star.
You are by far the most calm and collected gamer I have ever seen. How are you able to do this game without rageing when I wanna scream my head off just watching these levels? It's insane man. The calm and quiet content in your videos is very nice. Keep up the good work.

Thwomps can be triggered even if they're on a track. He just triggered the thwomp when he landed on the blue skull platform, so it "fell" off the track.
Man, I'd love to see you do several more attempts at this (maybe 5 in total as a test?) and try to push your runs further and further. You're one of the most consistent and skilled mario maker runners on youtube, so the drama of "will he win this super expert run?" is a lot less than it is in the videos of less-skilled players. But something like this could push the bill out to "will he beat his record and get that third or fourth run this time?". May or may not work, but I'd love to see you give it a try.

I can't even believe how this game was developed by Nintendo. Patching phantom jumps aside, they had an example right in front of their eyes. Minecraft, no kidding. That game added features over features but used "versioning system". Basically, versioning system separated new features/fixes from older systems. You could run any version any time you want. Nintendo could do that. I mean, labeling levels with game's version and only serve the levels on run queue if the level matches the client's version is not hard for a game development company. These guys really created SMM, but soon after, they abandoned it. The only thing I can come up with is, probably, SMM was their outsourced project (by which I mean, they gave the task to another company). They had a contract and when that contract due reached, Nintendo didn't even care. That explains why they do not show attention to SMM.
