This was great. So is SMM1. I think there's a great place for both of these. If SMM2 ever got 100-man, or whatever, where you could save the princess, I think that would be ideal.
I've actually been enjoying the 100 Man videos more than Endless, but that might be just me. I feel like MM1 is more fun to watch and MM2 is more fun to play. Either way, love all the content!
Personally I actually prefer the Mario Maker 1 content, when you play Mario Maker 2 it never feels like there's much at stake, because there's no end goal. I never played 1 myself, but when 2 came out I was really disappointed to find out I didn't get to play the 100 life challenge, like legitimately that really sucked to find out, and I just kept hoping they'd add it later, and as we know they didn't. Anyways, I love any content you release, you're the best choice for when I just wanna relax and turn off my brain for a bit while eating or something.
I recently got a Switch and MM2 was one of the first games I got because of this channel. I used to think I'd be good because I consider myself a decent gamer and Ryu makes it look so easy... I now appreciate his gameplay a lot more 😂
You know Ryu you'll always have people that want either SMM or SMM2 regardless of which one you choose, so just do what you like and don't worry too much about the comments.

That fire dragon level should've been a recreation of the Megaman 2 Dragon Boss level. That would've been pretty cool, with a flying Bowser or something as the Dragon and give Mario the fireflower.
It's sad... because the potential is there for SMM2... but I just enjoy 100 man so much. I feel they should have kept it in SMM2, and also given us a custom option. Where you could pick your lives for endless, whether it's 1 life or 100. 30 lives isn't enough if you get Poop, plus you can never save the princess.
Honestly from an entertainment standpoint, they're equal for me. But it is nice to be able to watch a SMM2 video, see a cool level, and go play it. I know I don't have a Wii U, apparently almost nobody did.
I like the quest based mode of Mario maker one so much more than endless super expert. It's so nice to see that there's a victory condition at the end of the mode instead of always hitting a game over. I think the worlds in Mario maker 2 might be a better option.

I like that you swap back and forth. I prefer a healthy balance of swap back and forth. There's a huge difference in the levels. I think it's mostly due to the fact that SMM2 has the capacity to be boo'd, which has implications. It probably makes for more wholesome levels, in the longrun. Anyways, healthy mix.
MM needs a custom "end-able" challenge mode. Random levels, but you can pick what tags you want, what clear rate you're looking for, how many hearts to boos the level has, number of starting lives, and number of levels to the castle.
The rating system of smm2 makes you play boring vanilla levels which is one or two steps up from what smm1 gives you but those hot garbage levels actually make for better TH-cam videos. Here's an idea for smm3: Let people choose a specific mode to play new/unrated levels and be rewarded for helping sorting those levels out (if they manage to clear them). This way endless, 100mario or whatever can finally consist of actually decent levels. It will never be great levels galore though since the average player don't have much taste at all.

watching this video and seeing you game over during this run, i realised i didnt feel nearly as disappointed or anything really about you gaming over on the run since in smm2 endless theres nothing to work towards, so really it doesnt matter if or when you game out. makes it less suspenseful and interesting imo i always thought i preferred watching smm2 but your experiment has changed how i feel and made me realise how smm is better in some ways

I think you might add you own challange to the endless super expert to make it a little more interesting. For example Thabeast721 count it as a win, if he clears 8 levels without skipping. If he lose, he has to clear unleared expert and super expert levels (until 8 levels are cleared in an episode). May be you can find your own challange.

Flagpole with regard to the timer in SMM2 is hot garbage. One of the few things they made worse in SMM2.

Remember the old "5 lives per level" subgame you played with 100 Mario? I think that would be better suited for SMM2's endless.
