I met a much younger man and we hit it off. First we had only weekends together, but after a while it became very painful for me to see him go, heart sore! Asked him either to come live with me or stop seeing me altogether as it hurt too much. We moved in together and that was 25yrs ago. 15yrs difference.

My long-term relationships were always with people that were at least 35 years older than me. It's not possible to fast-track maturity and life lessons without daily exposure to advanced life experience. Plus older people were less likely to cause unnecessary drama. So many benefits to being with older men.

my partner was 31 years older and sadly mainly on my part, i didnt tell many about us - then he passed in Oct 23 - but we had 11 amazing years together. Thankfully i came out 2 years before he went (all in my head)

I just stumbled across this blog - and am quite impressed with both participants. I've had 3 great loves in my life, all three are now passed on. At 87, I have been alone now for 40 some odd years, and have, from time to time, entertained the idea of settling down with a new partner. However, it has been my experience that people my age are too set in their ways (probably I may be also) to adjust to the likes and needs of another, and people much younger than I are looking for a thick pocketbook from which to enrich themselves. I hope, by following this blog, that I may indeed discover that gem of a person who genuinely cares for others. I may be 87, but don't have one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel -- at least yet.

It's really nice to see you guys being happy! As an early 60's guy I honestly don't know why gay men fear aging because I get more guys interested in me than when I was younger, almost! lol! I'm an outdoorsman, fishing, wildcrafting, & it tends to attract younger guys. Good friendship matters & sometimes that can get deep. Being open I find attracts young guys who are either coming out or struggling with their sexuality. I have friends of every age even older than me. It's not uncommon for older younger stay together for decades. Very interesting. Happy New Year!

Regarding kids. One major factor , whether hetero or homo, people seem to forget that having kids is the biggest responsibility and accoutability in life.
Vast majority of all the youth in the world, grew up in hetero families and it is painfully hard to experience how f@cked up , ignorant, undeducated, toxic and insufficient many families are.
Some/many people do not want to have kids, due to understanding how much responsibility , ownership, attention and work needs to be put in younger generations.
Sadly, not every man or woman, whether homo, hetero, bi or pansexual is cut out for parenting.
The even sadder part is when these people do not even know it, or even look themseves in the mirror. Often they think they do a good job.
    Kids are not cats.

We all chose our families before coming to the planet based on who we could best work out our mission. Parents’ main responsibility is getting us on the planet. Mission accomplished. The rest, each one of us works out. Not everyone’s path or goal is the same, therefore I see nothing sad in some wanting kids, some not. Sure, in an ideal world every parent would do an amazing job; the reality is that this is clearly not going to happen because humans are at all different levels of development.

He was 25 in 1972 and the video title describes him as being 70 years old? The math isn't mathing.

Maybe it’s a conspiracy or maybe I rounded to the nearest tenth for better readability… Occam’s razor… but good on you for doing the math.
