    Awesome! You can go to the track and the Star Wars convention in the same suit. What a time to be alive!😊

      If you think this is something you need to see some of the suits Fieldsheer produced in the 90's bro. - Van

    Bought this RST suit direct from UK in late 2022. Tried it twice on the track so far.
    Pros:
    1) Affordable price. Paid USD 680 shipped with taxes during their sales promotion.
    2) Suit ventilates well and is flexible.
    3) Level 2 armor in the hips, shoulders and elbow.
    4) Wider cut in the chest, waist and thighs
    5) I have a RST airbag mesh jacket for street riding. The IN&Motion box can be swapped into the mesh jacket without needing a 2nd subscription.
    6) Battery life is easily 18 hours or more.
    7) Low cost to repack airbag if deployed
    Cons:
    1) Level 1 armor in the knees and back. The back armor can be replaced with level 2 from KLIM which is more breathable and flexible.
    2) Non removable inner lining (for UK version)
    3) My mate has the same suit and low sided at about 75 mph on the track. Airbag deployed. He suffered abrasion injuries due to stitching failure (between stretch fabric and leather) at the elbow.

    • @chickenstrippro
      @chickenstrippro ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I had a similar experience with your mate. ~35 mph lowside at Chuckwalla and the suit's seat imploded on both sides. Holes to the liner but no rash thankfully.

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The version we are offering has an upgraded airbag which is stitched into the removable liner and is stronger than the version which is fixed in the suit. As for the abrasion suffered in the crash you noted every crash is different. We have sold hundreds of the Pro Series over the last few season with excellent feedback. Over the decades I have been doing this I have seen or heard of injuries from suits wearing through from pretty much every brand. The bottom line is this shit has an element of danger and every crash is different. - Van

    Great stuff as always! As an RST suit and street jacket owner, I love their stuff. My only concern is with shoulder coverage of the airbag. I've destroyed both clavicles on the track, and my impression is that they were both side hits. The online pics of this suit show only top of shoulder protection. Tech Air has coverage onto the side of the arm, fully enveloping the shoulder. Doesn't look like this suit would help with a side shoulder hit? I know a lot of airbag suits lack the side shoulder coverage, so maybe I (and Alpinstar) are wrong here??

    • @martinfoster5163
      @martinfoster5163 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree that the Alpinestars has much better lateral fall protection for the entire shoulder and lateral ribs. In&Motion and others (Helite, Hit-Air, etc) favour core thorax and neck/head stabilization to the detriment of lateral fall protection. There are compromises with any bladder due to the amount of gas available in a single canister. Alpinestars goes with 2 canisters with some variants of Tech-Air to solve this issue.
      Alpinestars has excellent gear but at a substantially higher cost which amateurs might not be able to afford.

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Most of the collarbone injuries are caused when the helmet impacts it. This airbag has plenty of coverage over the top of the shoulders to prevent this. A team we work closely with in MotoAmerica has crashed tested several of these suits over the last three seasons with excellent results. If I felt the shoulder coverage with the Alpinestars was a game changer Max would still be racing in it. - Van

    Does the InMotion airbag system require some kind of subscription? I have mostly heard good things about the RST suits, but I know Klim and InMotion have a subscription model. Not sure what the case is for RST.

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes it does require a subscription that is very affordable. There is also the option to buy the hardware for $400 which we do not recommend. If you subscribe your box is under warranty the entire time and they have an express replacement service if there is a problem with your unit (which we have seen very few of to date). - Van

    Sizing info for this suit. I'm 41 inch chest, 34 inch waist, 5ft 9 and 175 lbs. I wear a US 42 in this RST suit. I use the same size US 42 for my other suits...Held Race Evo, Revit Tarmac, Alpinestar Atem. This RST suit has more room in the chest, waist and hips.

    Would you recommend this suit in 52/62 for a bigger guy 5'9 255lbs athletic build with a slight dad midsection, currently wears RST STG evo 4 suit in 50/60 that is a little restrictive in the upper torso section but fits in other places better.
    Tried the V4.1 Evo in 50/60 and felt very restrictive sitting on the bike, getting some tucks and leans in the garage.

    • @sportbiketrackgear

    I've had this suit and would not buy again. Great value and stretch, but the stitching construction and leather quality are subpar and don't hold up in high-speed offs.

      @sportbiketrackgear  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We have sold a few thousand RST suits over the last few seasons and have received very little (if any really) bad feedback. This may be the only complaint I have seen. It is important to note every crash is different which will have an affect on how the suit holds up.
      Over the 18 years we have been doing this we have worked with and worn (crashed in a lot as well) suits from most major brands. IMO RST is one of the best. If I did not believe this my Son Max sure as hell would not be racing in it. - Van

      @@sportbiketrackgear Yeah I've torn up great suits with low speed crashes, and had other lesser suits do really well at high speed. Sometimes it comes down to the track surface. Little Tally will tear up suits and tires like crazy (so it's a good thing we are not going hyperspeed there!) If you hit with full weight right on a seam, it's never good no matter what you are wearing. Lowsiding at high speed and on non-tally tarmac is much easier for a suit to deal with. I see the person posting survived... So it seems to have done it's job.

    Its got NO RIB PROTECTION. the airbag vest was not designed for track orientated protection. It was designed for the road witha biase to a collision with a car. IT DOES NOT DEFLATE !!! I broke my ribs ribs wearing this suit in a 35mph crash and couldnt get the suit off because it wouldnt deflate. AVOID unless you only ride on the road.

      This airbag has been used on the track for 3+ seasons now here in MotoAmerica with the M4 Suzuki team as well as multiple riders in Europe with excellent results. My Son Max is also racing in this suit this season and has tested it twice now. Each time the results are the same we have seen with the other teams, excellent.
