Just wore my suit for the first time this last Monday. Open track day, did six thirty minute sessions. I'm a 53 year old, retired novice racer. This is by far the most comfortable suit I have ever owned. Thanks to STG for helping me get into the correct size and the best suit.
Love the no-BS approach to all of your videos. I have one of these suits myself, and it is absolutely amazing. Previously I used a nice A Stars suit with a TechAir 5, and while it worked, it was such a pain in the rear to put on and off, having to stuff that airbag vest and make sure it was in there correctly. RSTs integrated airbag makes it 100 times easier to put on and off. Also, agree with the heat comments in the video. I just spent 3 days at Jennings at 90+ degree heat, and no issues at all, that thing flows so much air it is awesome.

100% behind this, Brian does great product videos from a position of real in depth knowledge. Airbag equipped race suits should be mandatory for track days, and all racing anywhere now. As a Brit, we’ve had RST to ourselves for quite some time and it’s good to see them being sold abroad. Value for money and more importantly commitment to protection is fantastic, there is a reason why so many BSB, WSB riders etc wear them. Love these product videos, keep em coming!
Rightly said. The is a very strong suit, and can last for multiple crashes. Airflow is awesome. I have had airbag deployed on mine once in a crash, and it worked very well. One thing you could have mentioned it the replacable co2 canister, which you can diy easily up to 3 times or if the airbag has any damage, and don't have to worry about sending it to rst and pay 300$ like a stars and dainese every single time. Sure people go for d air or tech air, mostly for the name, they are missing out on a great brand.
Yes... I just did cycle Jam at Road Atlanta. It was pretty dang hot out there but this suit was flowing air like crazy and heat was not a problem. Even when I blew my engine on the back straight (uuuugh) and had to wait on the crash truck in the sun. It was way cooler than my old suit would have been.
I went 2 seconds per lap faster than I ever have with my new Roo-Puffy suit I bought from Max at STG 2 weeks ago. And it really fits me perfect. Plus it flows more air due to the fact I don't have 3 inches of solid stuff packed under my suit. Highly recommended!
Big fan of the channel, been watching for years. Bought from you before. Happy customer. is RST a sponsor of max for his racing or are you just genuinely really a fan of their gear now?
RST is a sponsor for Max but like all of his other sponsors everything he rides in or on is hand picked by me. If I do not believe in it 100% you can bet he will not be using it. - Van
Insane that In&Motion, the supplier for the airbag unit, makes customers choose between a $400 perpetual license for the airbag software but no updates and a $120/yr subscription with the updates. If you want the updates, customers are an expired credit card away from crashing with an expensive windbreaker that will never inflate.
i was gonna comment the same thing. And your subscription ONLY INCLUDES ONE MODE. If you pick street, and u wanna go do a track day, you cant use the airbag. Or imagine you dont crash in 5 years. Thats 120x5= $600. I love how our beloved family business didn’t care to mention the additional cost. In other words, buy alpinestars.
If you do not like the subscription model for the airbag controller then you can spend nearly as much for just the airbag system and not have to manage a subscription. You could pay for 10 years of subscription and still save $300. - Van

Hey Brian ! Thanks for the well put video. Quick question : For track use is it no more beneficial to have an airbag that protect colar bones such as the AStar ? Cheers
This 100% crosses over the collarbone to protect it. Most collarbone breaks are caused when the helmet comes in contact with the collarbone. The in&motion prevents that contact by inflating in that area in addition to the chest and back. - Van

Eexcept full coverage of shoulder does airbag goes further and cover some portion of biceps? Asking because I had slow speed accident which ended very bad. If I had an airbag at that accident everything would ended good or at least way better than it did. Thanks
The In&motion airbag in this suit covers the chest, back and over the shoulders. The Alpinestars does go a little further down the shoulder but I would not say it is covering the bicep. I am not aware of an airbag that offers bicep coverage at this time nor am I aware of a jacket or a suit that would allow for a deployment of an airbag that is covering the bicep. - Van

Like his kid said you have to spend double the money to get anywhere near better. Same with their race gloves, they make my astars that cost more look like flea market offbrand stuff.
We have used this for two seasons now and have a ton of customers in them with almost zero issues. If you want one that has no subscription there are options that cost more. - Van
Whats mental is someone will spend there money on a fancy part that does nothing and that money could pay for an airbag suit which could keep you out of hospital......mental😮
It's a happy meal a month geez. Maybe you should look at the cheap manual airbags in case your cheap tires slide and highside you. Every time I get the module out and charge it for a track day my phone does a full systems check, and automatically installs the latest software. They are continuously improving the product, the software and their warranty policy. I'm glad to pay the monthly fee to take advantage of this.
If you do not pay your electric bill at home they shut your power off... IMO a small monthly subscription like this is easy to manage and it offers the benefit of keeping the hardware updated and covered with warranty. - Van

I’m coming home to Michigan next month for vacation. I want a suit but I’m a bigger guy. If I come in can yall help me with sizing? I do t want to order and guess size
Yes, we have a showroom and tons of suits in stock. We are here Monday through Friday from 10am t0 6pm. - Van
You guys are mostly sold out on the pro model. When do you expect to have it in stock?
We have a shipment (should have already been here) that should arrive in the next week. Keep an eye on the site or put your email address in the out of stock notifier on the product listing. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear you the man Van!
Does RST do short/ tall sizing?
No, we do not have any sort or tall race suit sizes. That said we have found these to fit a ride range of people well. - Van
top notch as always
Thank you for watching! - Van
Wish it was a different colors choices 😢. But suit looks awesome
We have other colors that have arrived for both the V4.1 and Pro Series airbag suits. Here is a link to them on our site: www.sportbiketrackgear.com/rst/leather-suits
Make a similar video for street use please
We are not bringing in any of their airbag jackets at this time. We are considering bringing them in for 2025. - Van
Is there a woman’s suit?! I know they have it over in Europe, it I haven’t seen it in the us yet.
This suit fits a wide range of people. We are not importing the Women's model because there are not enough sales to support the investment of bringing them in. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear :( this makes me super sad. There are no good women’s suits in the us. Every other country seems to have them though.
Damn I’m mad I bought my cortech suit now. Maybe I’ll pick this up for the 2025 year
I looked at the cortec and other 6-800$ suits , wound up getting the rst airbag suit for the same money. Found it on sale at a shop in Europe, 57$ shipping through DHL and it was here in two days.
Like his kid said you have to spend double the money to get anywhere near better.
Same with their race gloves, they make my astars that cost more look like flea market offbrand stuff.
These will be here when you are ready for your next one. Enjoy the Cortech. - Van
Looks like RST is now doing custom fit suits for all riders finally. Off the rack suits don't fit me at all.
We are in talks to roll this out here in the US next season. Hope they are able to make this happen. - Van
I will never put my life in the hands of an airbag that can be turned off (I.e a subscription model)
IMO everyone should have an airbag if they are interested in protection. - Van
It is mandatory in MA by any full season rider. Has been for the last couple of years.
No one is checking and there are plenty of riders out there without. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear doesn't surprise me
Shame about their subscription BS. That's what kept me (and many, many other people) from buying a RST suit.
- Van
