They did a great job of matching the details up to the prop from Alien 3. Despite being cut, I always liked the look of this thing. It's armored for better protection, got spines on the "fingers" for gripping more securely, and the web to hold around the head more, all designed to make sure the queen gets a host. Wicked stuff.

Yea... but its doesn't seem based on the keener one... Seems like neca misunderstand "Queen Facehugger" and based it on the "royal facehugger" from alien 3 and not the "queen facehugger" from kenner. Which was a subspecies of giant face huggers with double jaws (they didn't have the embryo injecting vagina tube, they didn't "facehug"). They protected the eggs. It's just laziness from neca, and they just upsized there "royal facehugger"... I hate when they cut corners and just rehash molds and parts.

I grew up collecting the Kenner line and I very fond memories of it. However these are not something I would want to own. They're a great homage to the originals, but I still own all the marines and a few of the Aliens from that original line. Personally I would rather own those original figures from Kenner over these (they hold the true memories from my childhood). I go to NECA for my movie accurate figures and not redesigns or their personal interpretations. But that's just me and I'm glad some collectors are getting a kick out of these new updated versions.
