- We are crossing the Atlantic by sailboat. With this 3rd transatlantic crossing we complete our tour of the Atlantic and our 12,000 nautical miles covered.
Living on a family sailboat is a way of changing your life. Living on the water is a dream. A dream that has become our reality. A life without constraints other than those of nature.
We live on a small boat, in minimalist mode. Our catamaran Wharram allows us to sail with little money and to live great experiences, beautiful offshore sailing on a sailboat.

superbe traversée ! vidéo très bien construite ! on ne s'ennuie pas, question GPS ou non ? pilote automatique ? avez vous un système pour récupérer l'eau de pluie ?
Vraiment c'est génial ce que vous faite, le cata connais parfaitement la route maintenant. A regarder votre montage on pourrai croire que c'est facile de traverser avec peu moyen. Félicitation Nico et toute la famille
Dans ce domaine quand on a les connaissances, les moyens sont optionnels. Quand il s'agit de naviguer Nico a assez de savoir maritime pour compenser tout le reste.

traversée magnifique!
assez logique qu'il y ait une erreur de 0.47 milles nautiques au sextant car le temps de passer de l'étoile polaire, à capella puis à Bételgeuse, le bateau se déplace.

Nice to see someone still practicing with a sextant when most people totally rely on GPS being available.
We use sextant just to play but yes it's nice to do and to sail with realy simple equipment.

James Wharram died at home near Falmouth Cornwall age 93.
He built his first boat and set sail in 1955..⛵⚓🏝️🌊🎆

Yes. Actually he died on the 14 Dec the day we left Mindelo. We plan to meet his wife Hanekke in a couple of weeks in Guadeloupe. He was a great man and strong enough to give life to his own ideas

Wish her well please ...i studied Environmental Science and Geology at Plymouth. So know the coast and moors of the SW. of my Island home.💚🧙♂️🎆
