Remember when this game all of a sudden had a body count? A SIGNIFICANT body count? Say what you want about the 1st half of the game, the 2nd half goes full-on brutal compared to the GBA games and I love it.

yeah pretty much. Music is weird, it can make us feel fear, happiness, anger, whatever quite easily, & when I got to that point in the game... I was terrified at first, becuase I was pretty good at the game, I had high levels, good items, etc. But they were the fist enemies in a _long_ time that didn't get one-shoted. I was like: "OH FUCK!" ... Until I realized I actually _really_ good stuff, (list above) I mean that theater actually scared me. I didn't know what to expect, didn't know if I'd suddenly have fight encounters, anything!
Man, when you first encounter the creatures of the dark eclipse, it feels like you're up against a much larger threat then any normal enemy before it. Sure, they're weak to all elements, but you can't just steamroll through them.
sigh. Why can't camelot make golden sun 4...? I mean, they do have mario sports series to work on, and this series is 15 years old... Although, their website has new HD remakes of Flint and Isaac with cool textboxes as well... Maybe we have a chance.

Capcom also released Monster Hunter Stories, and Nintendo plans to revive Mario & Luigi series. Baldur Gate 3 is also changed into turn-based, and Divinity keeps getting new games. A rising dark horse is Darkest Dungeon which gives the vibe of Dark Soul. Next Etrian Odyssey is also confirmed to be in development. Besides, Shin Megami Tensei, Persona, Pokemon and Fire Emblem are basically immortal at this point.

Collin Samatas when the darkness envelops the land and shadow beasts rise from the darkness to slaughter anyone not near a light source, it would look pretty alien as well. You get to see a whole city reduced to a mass grave.

Creatures of the Eclipse are so hard when the Eclipse just began and when we're really very high leveled.
When a solar eclipse occurs in real life, this song plays in my head. 🌚

I think because Golden Sun simply doesnt sell as well as a Mario game...Golden sun is too underrated
