    Just got my Consew 206 last week, I've been painstakingly going through each adjustment and setup piece, I thought I was winding a bobbin right until I watched this, now even that part of my setup is working well. Sweet!

    Thank you! On my fourth bobbin winding video for my new to me vintage 20U trying to find a fix.The problem was the bobbin spinning on the stem. Such a simple fix.

    😂 I guess that’s one way. My pop showed me another way. I put the bobbin on the axil first, then I run the thread around the spool five times and then pull as your engaging the belt. It automatically binds after it locks into place. Then I snip the tail and go to town. I’ve been borrowing an old grey cast RB from a buddy and it’s almost time to give it back. This is my next one. I bought that Juki 1541S and boy was that a mistake! The foot has a nice high lift factor but it’s too easy to go out of time. When it worked, it worked well but that was only some of the time. Juki’s old grey cast DNU machines were awesome. These new ones suck. Consew seems to be so much more dependable in the long run. You can’t go wrong. The kick out clutch always works and the reverse engages a lot smoother. Beware of the new Juki’s! There’s a lot of those new ones for sale on the net. They’re still new and for resale. ..lol.. 😂

    Thanks. This is an easy tutorial. How do you stop the needle from going up and down while adding thread to bobbin?

    • @66Gordo
      @66Gordo  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're welcome. The needle will still go up and down while you're doing the bobbin. You can fill a bobbin and sew at the same time. I did a video on that too. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    quick question, is there a way to disconnect the belt to move the actual machine while loading a bobbin or do you have to have the machine connected, meaning the needle goes up and down while loading a bobbin?

    • @66Gordo
      @66Gordo  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The belt is what runs it to load the bobbin

    • @guglielmodicarlo4139
      @guglielmodicarlo4139 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@66Gordo yes I understand that, I guess you didnt understand my question, on my home machine, when you load a bobbin, you can "disconnect" the actual machine from spinning, etc, and only drive the bobbin ? I already found out this is not possible,

    How are you winding the bobbin while you have the machine threaded in the middle of a job?

    • @66Gordo
      @66Gordo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you need a bobbin wound up. You just thread the bobbin wheel side as you would normally. Click the little lever down and you can sew at the same time

    How do I adjust the bobbin winder if it winds uneven? More on one side.

    • @66Gordo
      @66Gordo  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are some screws you can loosen and move the mechanism to see if that helps. One of my machines i gently help guide the thread go from one side of the bobbin to the other side. Cause that machine just wants to wind on one side of the bobbin. Hope that helps.

      @@66Gordo Hello again I set my machine up over the weekend, I noticed it is very stiff even after oiling, I removed the bobbin and thread and turning the hand wheel it seems to be "sticking" when the takeup arm is at the halfway point Do you have any thoughts I bought the machine with a Servo motor so I can sew slowly , Thanks!

    When I back stitch on my rb5 its splitting the top thread and making it fray, split. I have to cut and rethread.. any ideas to the cause of that? the top thread is one size thicker than what I was using. could it be a needle issue?.

    • @66Gordo
      @66Gordo  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah you might want to try and change to a different needle see if that helps at all.

    • @daytonpyro
      @daytonpyro 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I switched to the thinner thread I was using and it still wants to split and fray. seems to do it when I back stitch..

    • @66Gordo
      @66Gordo  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@daytonpyro I asked the guy I bought my sewing machine from and he said it's possible your needle bar is to high or to low. Or the hook is to far from the needle.
