I read a recent interview with Mould in Spin wherein he claims he simply can't sing like he used to, and feels no point in trying to recapture something that can't be (or something like that). I got the sense that he wasn't completely closing the door however.. I'd be there in a heartbeat! I'm too young to have seen them, and their appeal and status only grows more important for me. A truly one of a kind band. :)
I wish...Warehouse, along with Bob's Workbook and Black Sheets, got me through a rather depressing freshman year of college. I really don't think they'll ever play together again. Stuff that they've both said in interviews leads me to believe that something got broken that can't ever be fixed. But if they did, you KNOW I'd be there.
I have been saying that myself for a while. They are all still alive... they should tour. Bob Mould said he would never play Husker Du songs after they broke up but he has and he said he would never play electric music again (with a band) but he did... he said he would never play with Grant Hart again...
I can hear the bass drum up in the beginning and then it drops out, then it comes back again... whoever was on the soundboard should have had the levels set by this point... Seems like they were having sound problems universally... Still good footage, thanks jat13.
He was. I was at this show and he made a bit of a scene trying to get into the club through the front door. Cut right in front of me and he was practically drooling. I thought he was a homeless dude at first, lol.
Bob tryed to buy Greg and Grants' share of the "Husker Du estate." According to Hart he offered them $15,000 and they turned him down, "10 years work is worth more than that" was Grants response and rightly so in my opinion. Husker Du are waiting to be re-discovered by a generation of kids so there is much money to be made with remasters and archive releases but I don't they will happen anytime soon.
I think you're right. SST is such a mess at the moment but there's better footage than this out there plus warner brothers had at least one gig professionally filmed in 85 or 86 that was going to be released on video and is rumoured to feature a guest appearance from Michael Stipe. So that may get a DVD release one-day.
RIP Grant Hart, one of the most interesting bands of the era for sure.
Surely they deserve some recognition now. Great in their hardcore days...And got better ! Incendiary in concert..and 5 great records in three years.
I Love husker du! Greetings from italy
ten years before nirvana. amazing
+Roberto Letizia thought you meant from this video in 1985. defiantly a band ahead of their time.
Ten times better too
I'm 16, and was born in 1995. Husker Du changed my life.

To be fair, I'd bet they were all high as a kite, as well as half the audience.
I agree. What are they waiting for?
Green Eyes is about his cat...so cute.
Awesome band!!! My brother used to love them!!! I'm just getting familiar with them again....what is this song?? This is fucking brilliant
"Get away from my amplifier please"
Grant Hart is releasing an album with Godspeed! You Black Emperor as his backing band. Should be good.

i'll tell you who he looks like. like Dim, the character from A Clockwork Orange. think about it :)
Looks a bit like PS Hoffman in Boggie Nights to me

Diane from metal circus
"diane" from "metal circus"
@theamazingooz Do you know Future Of The Left? You might like them.
where did you hear this?
Dont'you know that Grant Hart is dead? I wish they reunite but....
music like thus is awsome better than that emocore nonsense harcore 4eva!
I believe Grant's father lost his job, and needed help with the mortgage.
@avatarmn And his solo stuff is way better than Bob Mould's IMO
the only one member of the band that ISN'T gay is infact norton the one with the moustache isn't that odd? the other two are infact gay
I want to date those pretty girls in the audience.
