Wow... Soi 11 does look different. I am anxious to come back to Thailand next year... Bangkok is a fun city, but I do prefer the beaches. The view is amazing looks better than the Rooftop at the Marriott Hotel IMHO. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome jeroen! I will be in bkk in few weeks and will make sure to visit Pastel. Been at above 11 a few times and this is a great new joint for us skybar lovers. I also love skybar at muse hotel its great as well as on avani on the river where u were recently i went dec 2019 it was brand new

Dude i was in staying in the grand presient in april and was looking for some banging rooftop bars. Sad to know this was a 30 second walk away from me xD, thanks for the spot, when i go back in november im sure to check this spot out
Rooftop bars… 30 years ago we went to the Baiyoke. No, not the Baiyoke tower. What is now the restaurant of the Baiyoke Suites. Great views. Now a dwarf. The “new “ Baiyoke Tower set a new standard. But imho all started with the Skybar of Le Bua. That was the real reference. This rooftop bar seems more relaxed than the highest/best/most this or that bars. And still a great view!
There were no rooftop bars that I knew of 34 years ago, so now that Dylan Cohen is involved with Pastel, we must go next Dec or Jan to see Bangkok again and meet up w/ Dylan's Papa! Then away from the city!

Perhaps Pastel would make a great venue for a meetup in January?
And you need to see the atmosphere at night there. With the DJS and the cocktails it's one of the best places to party in Sukhumvit soi 11 too.
My favorite rooftop bar is the Balcony bar in Nana Plaza, but it hasn't reopened yet.

When we arrived there was the Le Bua, Banyan Tree and the sky bar at Central World. Now there are a few more :-)
