Nathan, thank you for giving up your time to educate the beginner Sibelians out here. I have watched this video in wonder at the way that changing the audio output for a voice should be so straighforward as you demonstrate. however when I click on add/removed instruments I am met with a new small window, as in your demonstration but there are only two of the four windows so no edit instrument option. What have I missed? thank you, David
Hello David. I don't think you want to click "add or remove instruments" (with the trumpet icon.) When I click that trumpet icon, I get a two-window screen as well, which is what I think you are describing. Instead, in the same tile where "add or remove instruments" is located, look in the lower right corner (below Ossia/Above/Below) for a tiny icon that looks like an arrow pointing away from an upper-left corner. You can see I hover over that icon at both the 0:54-0:56 and 2:44-2:49 marks in the video. I hope this helps. For what it's worth, this video was created on Sibelius Ultimate v2018.7.
I am unsure of the ability to add VST. For what it's worth, Sibelius offers high quality samples in the form of Sibelius Sounds (which can be downloaded from your MyAvid account.) They are 23GB in size and far superior to the general MIDI sounds.
Τhank you for the tutorial. I have problem with sounds. If I choose midi then I listen all organs, if I have sibelius sounds then I don't listen nothing like piano, oboe etc and of course I can't exprort to mp3 and listen all instruments in score. Do you know why this happen?
an enormous amount of extraneous information
Very interesting and useful , thanks from France ! ;-)

Is it possible to add a VST sound for playback ? I did not found anything... The default piano sound is horrible and I have awesome VST plugins.
