Thank you for this. I'm revisiting this 16 years later. I was in the choir, second row, left of center. The songs still sound amazing! So impressed with what we were able to learn and memorize in a week!
Very interesting and useful , thanks from France ! ;-)
Awesome tutorial 👌🏾
Hi, Mr. McCoy. I was a student in the jazz choir and was close friends with Javen and Julan in this video. I was wondering if you knew if there was an archive of Far East JAMM 2015 and 2016 anywhere in full? The original recordings on the Cube have been taken down, and I wasn't shrewd enough to download it unfortunately.
Unfortunately, those recordings from HS Cube were lost. Sorry.
Thanks for explaining it so well. I'm getting mine tomorrow.
Thanks for uploading this!
an enormous amount of extraneous information
Great tutorial..Thank you!
Thanks for the tutorial 👍
Τhank you for the tutorial. I have problem with sounds. If I choose midi then I listen all organs, if I have sibelius sounds then I don't listen nothing like piano, oboe etc and of course I can't exprort to mp3 and listen all instruments in score. Do you know why this happen?
This is great!! Love this.
Great concert!
They made a great choice by putting this on TH-cam. Also amazing sound quality from all groups!
🐵BELIEVE🐵
Thank you, your video was the only one I could find that actually helped me!

Get the Everse 8
Thanks for the tip. In my cursory internet search I like that the EV is louder and appears to have more range (fuller bass). My biggest concern with the JBL has been that it is not as powerful as I would have liked.
It will not lock in place! and falls to the ground
I miss my Kinnick boys 🥲
I miss Perry boys…
Are there any other keyboard models that have just intonation? The Yamaha HD 200/300 looks great, but it is bloody expensive.
I know I have seen it on this Korg and the very much older Korg X5. Of course, the Harmony Director is very popular for its use of just intonation. I haven't done a ton of digging, but I imagine there are other options.
@@nathanmccoy1363 Thanks. I'll keep an eye on keyboards that have this option.

👏👏👏Thank you all the directors and Performers, and all the others who helped to make this festival so great! 👍👍👍😄I am so happy to watch this performance and will listen to them through 2022 holiday season over and over! 🥰

I prefer a real mixer, you can see everything right in front of you. Better EQ and better control. Yamaha's EQ sweeps really well across frequencies, adjustments are fast. I can make these two speakers sound awesome. Each to his own. I've been doing this for 50 years. I bought two of these JBL's and really enjoy the flexibility. Los Angeles Play on
I also prefer a proper mixer when it is not counterproductive to set one up. I suppose I think of this all-in-one as a quick, portable solution for simple application, especially one where a power source might be unavailable or difficult to access. The draw for me on this speaker was the battery. Of course, depending on the complexity of the need, a proper mixer might be warranted where it provides more granular control.
Nathan, thank you for giving up your time to educate the beginner Sibelians out here. I have watched this video in wonder at the way that changing the audio output for a voice should be so straighforward as you demonstrate. however when I click on add/removed instruments I am met with a new small window, as in your demonstration but there are only two of the four windows so no edit instrument option. What have I missed? thank you, David
Hello David. I don't think you want to click "add or remove instruments" (with the trumpet icon.) When I click that trumpet icon, I get a two-window screen as well, which is what I think you are describing. Instead, in the same tile where "add or remove instruments" is located, look in the lower right corner (below Ossia/Above/Below) for a tiny icon that looks like an arrow pointing away from an upper-left corner. You can see I hover over that icon at both the 0:54-0:56 and 2:44-2:49 marks in the video. I hope this helps. For what it's worth, this video was created on Sibelius Ultimate v2018.7.
Do you still have it in 2022? How reliable have been?
I do and it has performed well for me. I would still recommend.
Is it possible to add a VST sound for playback ? I did not found anything... The default piano sound is horrible and I have awesome VST plugins.
I am unsure of the ability to add VST. For what it's worth, Sibelius offers high quality samples in the form of Sibelius Sounds (which can be downloaded from your MyAvid account.) They are 23GB in size and far superior to the general MIDI sounds.
Obviously you survived eating from dishes washed in dirty dish water.🤣
hi nathan can i plug in a portable e-drum pad on channel 2 ? and at the same time link a bluetooth device like mp3 player as my backing tracks on channel 4?
Yes. All 4 channels can accept simultaneous inputs, including channel 4 accepting either the Bluetooth connection or a 3.5mm "Aux in" direct input. (For what it's worth, you cannot have both a 'line-in' device plugged into channel 4 AND have the BT connected at the same time.) What you described in your comment should work.
Yuppers ,you are the Real Mcoy😎🤸
I was in in this choir and still have most of my parts memorized! Thank you for uploading this!
Hi there! thank you so much for uploading this video. I was the second tenor in this choir, and this brings back so many memories.
IT WOULD BE FANTASTIC IF IT CAN BE USE TO POWER OULET
It can!
Finally, a video that explains darn near everything. I'm thrilled! The app gets terrible reviews though on Google Play. Do you kow how to connect the app to the speaker?
Wave 44.1 16 bit
Please 86..leaving myself a note here
Thanks I just read the manual yesterday
I cant believe I found this. I was first chair trombone 3 years in a row, this was my senior year 😊 Such an amazing experience.
