Electronic E-Brakes are terrible ideas. Had water get in one on an Audi once... it wouldn't disengage and errors out... such a terrible idea for an OffRoad vehicle.
The thing that was beautiful about the 3rd gen was the slick body with the simplicity, amazing truck, easy to work on, no unnecessary tech in the cabin.
Great idea, this looks cheap and more expensive. Make improvements to the performance, power train.. that’s what interest me. I have the 2020 TRD, I’ll keep it, thank you

Ive only owned old cars my whole life (my newest is a 2009 370z and my daily is now a 98 Grand Cherokee... i actually think it would be nice to have an everyday car with all these conveniences.
They coulda kept the screen smaller, and left normal seats in the thing but add AC vented seats and I’d have been a chilled butt happy camper. Mind blowing.
when I bought my 3rd gen, I chose the super base SR with the V6 & 4wd because it seemed like it was the most truck for the $....with the 4th gen it seems they've really differentiated the higher trims (especially with the drive train options)
So now you can't use the e- brake as an extra brake, it's either on or off. They should make an old school less tech version with a v6 and no turbo. I'll stay with my 3rd gen. Calm down people everyone has their own opinion. This is just mine. Looks good visually tho
What stuff? The radio and a/c controls? This is roughly the same interior layout that every 2024 model car and truck is offering many of them offering even more and bigger screens. The fact that this has so many physical buttons and toggles is a a major plus imo.

Seems like the shifter gets in the way of the climate controls. So many potential places for failure in things that could be analog: rear view mirror, parking break, etc.
Breaks my heart beyond belief that the top of the line trd pro isn’t available in manual like last gen. I’ve been waiting for this 4th gen taco since my 2004 sr5 v6 manual and now I have to either get one now if I want manual, or get one of these in trd off road or sport. I know it’s a 1st word problem but venting nonetheless
I think it’s so nice I had a 23 Tacoma trd pro for about 4 months until I traded it in for a 23 4 runner. The Tacoma is just so small and not practical for a pickup. It also drove like crap. I love my 4 runner though. It’s very spacious and drives 10x better
It is a supplement. You flip what would normally be the mirror tab, and it turns on and off. The mirror is auto dimming, so you don't need to switch it at night. Also, the camera is above the rear window, so it's nearly always clean even driving through puddles and dust.
I found out Toyota outsourced some of the electronics in the vehicle when I was signing the paperwork for my 2023 Tacoma. So hopefully as it ages it doesn't become the vehicle Achilles heel.
The only reason it's called a parking brake no is because someone sued the manufacturer that the E-brake didn't work when they engaged it to avoid a crash. They lost the case and now all E-brakes are called parking brakes to being sued
They have mesmerized people with electronic features . It’s like BestBuy meeting Cadillac to bulk up cost , why ? If these features break out of warranty you will pay dearly for item , a dealer item only . service technician with that cost .

Electronic rear view is great, but I'd rather stick with the good ol fashion mirror. Less shit that can go wrong. Camera is out? Gonna cost you $. Got dirt on the camera? Can't see now. Also that whole system just adds like $1k+ to msrp. Unnecessary.

The 2024 Tacoma owners will have to do A/C drain hose reroute to prevent rust on frame. Has Toyota fix to prevent Taoma frame from rusting.
