    Very inspiring! We was introduced to your channel by our son. He love fishing. You’re young but very professional and informative. As parents, your parents should be very proud of the young man that they raise you to be. Keep up the good work that you do. Rather then going out spend your spare time doing crazy things as majority of young men out there. You utilize your time for something productive and at the same time, it may teach or catch the attention of the younger generation to follow your footsteps. Again, god bless you in all you do. Keep up the great work and be safe out there. We’re super proud of you. Keep the videos coming. We are inspired. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

    Never had burbot don't know if I'll ever have the opportunity to eat it either hopefully one day I would like to give it a try. But walleye is definitely first on my list. I would also like to say just when you think your channels as Good as it gets. You add facts on the bottom of your screen. That was an awesome touch. If I could say one thing I would say the one thing would be that don't cut your prayer out of the video I feel like I'm praying with you my friend. Thanks again for the great video as always. And please never go away from the catch and Cook's.

    The bones make good fish stock. As a kid I would see people throw them on the ice and leave them. I honestly didn't know any better. Now I keep a few and release the rest. I live in the bluff country of SW Wisconsin right off the Mississippi river and there are places I fish that look very similar to that, the peace and quiet gets interrupted all the time though by passing trains on both sides of the river and barges passing you a few times a day.

    • @SamongOutdoors
      @SamongOutdoors  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I actually never have my drag maxed out. I like my drag on the tighter side, but it's never maxed out. It's always set looser than what my fishing line is rated for. I prefer it this way so that when I set the hook, I drive the hook home. Some of the fish I catch simply aren't strong enough to pull drag even when it's loose.

    • @27stiffmyster
      @27stiffmyster 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SamongOutdoors Thanks for the clarity. That makes sense. We fish mainly trout up here and we have the drag lower so the fish takes line and tires out. We run barbless so it helps our success rate. I've only ever had my drag up on walleye and bass.
