Heh the excitement of seeing shad on the finder suddenly reminds me of seeing a ton of skipjacks on the finder when in the middle of the Mississippi and hauling ass to set up and catch as many as possible for that nights tournament. Im pretty certain fresh skips right out of the water are the best bait for monster blues!. Dude watch one slap your bait on the finder and hookup was rad!

Caught the biggest fresh water eel of my life fishing a lock on pool 6 on the Mississippi River . Totally rat nested my whole spool after I unhooked it . Worth it though as they taste awesome !

When the fish come up to check out your bait raise it up slowly and let them chase it. It will help with those finicky bites. I’ve had them chase it 10-15 feet before they finally commit. Awesome video as always!

That was a nice size wiper! We don't have many hybrids where I am, just regular striped bass.
Regular striped bass are pretty dang awesome. Not a bad fallback plan.

FYI, there are big cats by the boat ramp. My brother pulled a 30# blue in from the boat ramp area.
