Gregor's sacrifice is really one of the few good parts about the arc. I liked watching it as a kid, but there are so many more interesting things. Season 4 and 5 were dropping massive battles (like the water war and Umbara), bounty hunter episodes, Maul coming back, rebels vs separatists, and then we have droids messing around? It's an interesting concept, but compared to everything else it's kinda lame.
Fives Conspiracy was so good. It’s incredible that he was closer to foiling Palpatines plot than all the Jedi combined He was a true hero of the republic
My Top 15 15. Mortis Season 3 14. The Padawan Arc Season 5 13. Ahsoka Lost Season 3 12. The Bad Batch Season 7 11. The Citidal Season 3 10. Obi-Wan Undercover Season 4 9. The Alderon Arc Season 5 8. The Nightsisters Season 3 7. Maul's Return Season 4 6. Yoda's Jounrey Season 6 5. Fives Discovers Order 66 Season 6 4.The Umbara Arc Season 4 3. Maul's Arc Season 5 2. Ahsoka's Arc Season 5 1. The Siege of Mandalore Season 7
I find it funny that Ahsoka got framed for blowing up the jedi temple when she wasn't even on the planet. She was on a different planet with Anakin when they found out from Yoda
13:04… I personally am offended. It was probably one of my favorite Arcs between all the R2-D2 we got in that arc, the other Astromechs are pretty cool. (QT-KT being my favorite outside of R2) and Gregor is a pretty fun clone trooper
In my Opinion my top 10 TCW arcs are 1.Umbara and Pong Krell 2. Ahsoka framed 3. Onderon 4. The Bad Batch 5. Inhibitor Chips with Fives 6. Ashoka and Trace +Order 66 7. The Droids ( that one arc where there is that tiny general and his droid gang) 8. The Citadel 9. The Zilo Beast (Hot Take) 10. Pirate Maul and Savage + Maul in Mandalore
Yes yes Ahsoka Framed arc is goated the action, the lighting of the animation I grew up following Ahsoka and Barriss's friendship through the show and games, so the end did get me emotional and heartbroken
Padmé's episodes were one of the best episodes, love to see the politics and they focus much more in the story. You can see the tension growing there, and in the end Palpatine convinces almost everyone to vote for him to stay in power against the law, it's perfect. Padmé is such a good person, always indignant on immoral actions, she wants the best for the Republic. Some of the Jedi episodes are just plotless, mindless action that doesn't add anything to the story. The Clovis episodes were INSANE, I loved them all.
I feel like its just the mortis arc bit less interesting, expect for the start and the end. I wish i kept going down the mystery arc with sifo dias and had the conclusion of yoda vs Palpatine. The whole middle was just kinda boring though
21:56 No way. Landing at point rain and weapons factory are some of the best cw battle episodes we got and you rank the arc B Tier even after saying that you really like the last Episode on the ship with the brain invaders? Nah man
Wait, doesn't the Clovis Returns arc have Thorns last stand, yeah I hated Clovis, but that was epic, same with Gregor being the best part of the D-Squad arc. (I'd rather watch D-Squad over and over and over again, rather than be forced to watch 0.00001 second of Taylor Swift.)
Okay, HARD disagree with the D Squad. I respect your opinion but I believe you're not giving the arc enough credit. I think it puts an emphasis on how a squad deals with a mission that isn't made of supernatural beings or highly trained soldiers on a stealth mission to retrieve data behind enemy lines. They're just droids. And a small guy who can't really do much due to his natural limitations. And they're forced to complete a mission that isn't made for their caliber whatsoever, even if R2-D2 is a highly intelligent astromech who fought several battles. In a way it has an Andor vibe, that they're just a bunch of regular droids. Relatable to oneself in a way. They can't clutch their way out with their powers or fighting skills out of a dire situation. They almost get killed by droids, they almost get killed in a comet storm, they almost die on a desert planet that forces them to follow their instincts. Well, the colonel and the pilot droid at least. Sure flashy battles with Jedi and clones against the Separatists may appeal more to the average watcher, but this arc is special in its own way. And oh boy, we haven't even gotten to the best part of this arc: Gregor. This guy lost everything. His armor, his memory, hundreds if not thousands of fallen comrades. While he is forced to live in absolute trash and work for a guy who hid his identity from him for a long time (not more than 2 years but still). He has zero self esteem, he is like a slave to the Sullustan. Only with the help of Colonel Gascon he regained his memory, managed to fight back against his boss, retrieve his armor AND to top it all off, he managed to clear a path for his new friends to escape. He still was sharp with his senses, he finished EVERY single droid with one or two shots. He needed no army behind him to competently disrupt an entire army on his own. He used his environment to his advantage, took out everything in his path, even helped and escorted an astromech that tripped during their escape. I was shocked when he died a classic hero's death on that planet and the whole facility got annihilated in a blast (of course, he reappeared in Rebels but that's besides the point). Seriously, Gregor is an absolute legend. He lost everything, got control of himself again, went out there and fought the good fight and decimated an army, all for the sake of saving a few droids on their mission. He was leading no army, he didn't rely on Jedi to fight with him, my guy went out there and destroyed them all singlehandedly. Take your Rex, take your Fordo, but Gregor will always be the most legendary clone in the whole franchise to me. And what I believe the second most interesting plot point of this arc was when they escaped to the Republic ship, believing it was one of theirs. While being completely controlled by droids and filled to the brim with Rhydonium, probably the most lethal gas in the galaxy headed straight towards the meeting of the greatest fleet commanders and tacticians of the Republic. Without any outside interference, they managed to kidnap a Republic ship, fill it with explosives (most definitely without Palpatine's knowledge) and decided to NUKE every single major commander of said Republic to finish their enemy once and for all. And it all just barely fails because the droids managed to set up the bombs earlier than expected. I mean think about what disaster has been avoided in this arc. What would the Clone Wars have been if they simply wiped out Anakin, Obi Wan, etc. in a single blow? Even Palpatine would be furious! TL:DR Gregor is awesome and I love big kabooms. Plus "A sunny day in the void" is the favorite episode of George Lucas.
There’s no way this man is thirty eight. I’m sorry, BUT IM CALLING CAP. THATS freaking old enough to be my dad. Jedward, stop adding twenty years to your age. 💀💀
9:49 "A bunch of other random clones" YOU LITERALLY TALKED ABOUT HOW THE BAD BATCH FREED ECHO ON SKAKO MINOR BUT YOU DON'T TALK ABOUT HOW HE WAS PRESUMED DEAD AT THE CITADEL???????? (I don't intend to sound mean but how do you forget a man like Echo?)
Hell nah Bounty Hunters is at least A tier We got an intentional 7 Samurai omage, so its better than onderaan in thar regard and we got Embo and Hondo, two legendary cw characters that lift every arc with their appearance
clone wars glaze is crazy. Yeah it's an awesome show but it's not even comparable to the original trilogy and a lot of other star wars media in my opinion
Jedward claims that he is thirty eight but has the face and built of a twenty year old. He’s also in school, likely college, adding to the fact that he’s probably young twenties. Also, the mortis arc came out in 2011, and if he was 11 yro watching it, he’d be twenty four rn. Not 38 💀💀💀
