I love you guys, but you're overlooking a key point. With the ratios for Lightning Lane (Premier and Multipass now) it increases the wait time for the regular standard line and hurts anyone who isn't able or willing to shell out the extra money. We get it, Disney is a company out to make money... but they're cutting their own throats with the "More out of less customers" attitude. They should be doing things to bring the magic back for everyone. Instead of yet another DVC resort, add another Value resort. Its been 12 years since Art of Animation opened, and while its considered a Value its priced closer to the Moderates.

This is the problem for me. I watch a few bloggers and one of them said he saw a noticeable difference in availability for lighting lanes- and that was before they opened it up to all hotel guests. What will happen when they start increasing the number of passes they sell each day.

I love Disney, but the ridiculous expenses and amount of planning/forethought that you need to put into any vacation there is completely off-putting. This is clearly another mousey money grab at the expense of regular park attendees - part of me can see the allure because it's less to schedule down to the minute, but the price and impact on regular park attendees makes it a no for me.

  • @imranhosein6238

I’m sorry, this is an optimistic view to attempt not being negative on this ludicrous offer. The cost vs benefit is not worth it really. Include the tickets, or meals as a combo without additional cost. Otherwise, I pass.
Ultimately everything is getting costly and out pricing the average customer.

Yeah, but on the bright side, they can only raise their prices so much before eventually they'll have to drop them back down. But in order for that to happen, the parks across the whole board would have to see a dramatic drop in attendance for the entire year as a whole, not just 1 or 2 times of the year. And to be honest, I can't see that happening anytime soon

    • @cathinieto39
      @cathinieto39 หลายเดือนก่อน

@jackwilkinson4911 I agree. I don't think the attendance will ever fall dramatically enough for Disney to lower prices. The extra money they collect from these premier LL sales will offset that. This is what Disney wants, elite customers willing to pay exorbitant prices and they will get it. For now.

  • @Momcircus
    @Momcircus หลายเดือนก่อน +24

DFB! Please, please address the effect this has on standby guests, who are ALREADY paying the exorbitant daily park rates. If Premier pass was a stand alone, truly limited offering, stand by queues would continue to move. But by expanding Premier pass, and keeping “mid-level” multi-pass available, it’s becoming unbearable for ‘regular’ guests to watch 15-20 LL guests allowed in for every 1 stand by guest

    • @Johnrl21

We started visiting Florida back in 1999, going every couple of years as it is quite expensive coming from the UK. Next year will be the first time we are not visiting Disney, we were disgusted with the prices rises last year when parking went up overnight by $5. By sticking to Universal and Seaworld parks we are saving over £500 for a family of 4 compared to Disney tickets. Unless Disney change we will not be going back.

Nope. I try to make the pilgrimage to Disney World every 5-7 years but there is no way I would pay for that especially with how premier pass is set up. Premier Pass at this point is just the new standby line. At Universal it really feels like a premium skip the line. Sure 1-2 rides (before epic universe) are not included but that is still more encompassing for 75% off.

I have not beento Disney in the last 3 years. I was hoping they would go back to when they catered to all resort guests, made it special to stay on property with so many FREE perks. Then they started moving those perks towards nothing short of how can they capitalize profits from them. I so want Disney to be the park it use to be. I still say the old fastpass+ which was free with limited amount of passes was the best. If you stayed on property, you could select the rides 60 days in advance. Pre plan some of the trip so when you got there, you could focus on family and ecperiences instead of burring your head in a smart phone micro managing your vacation. Disney seems to want to be for the Elite kind of park. The opposite of Walts Dream. Just saying. If Disney ever returns to a place for all instead of elite tiers, I may return. Not that Disney seems to care at this point. Even the cast members are different these days it seems. Not the cast memberws of the past for sure. They were something special in my opinion. They are far less outgoing and with a lot less Disney magic. Please Disney, Bring back treating all guests special as you use to, instead of the complicated experience you have created, all in the interest in profits. Your focus is clear.

I can't believe Disney can't get this right. You cannot have an affordable skip the line option because everyone will sign up for it and that will end up defeating it's purpose. The only way for this work is if it's expensive. So 2 tiers: Premier, that's a good start then the 2nd option is the price of a ticket with maybe time restrictions or something different. Then that's it.

Paying an extra $120 for the family per day for LLs I feel like well to maximize our time I will do it but $1200? No thanks. Disney is so expensive it’s no longer a family park universal and SeaWorld are way better and they cater to families universal has express passes for both parks and you have the option to get unlimited express also If you stay at a premier hotel you get unlimited express also if you have the premier pass you get express after 4 pm Disney is lame and expensive

Hey DFB, i really enjoy your content ever since I visited Disney for the first time in 2022, but c'mon.
This is outrageous. They continue to fail at maintance and delivering great experiences, while bleeding out every wallet they can. We should not try to see how bad policy may be good in a fringe scenario, but rather criticize them in unissent to have a bettee park in the future imo

I realize you're trying to put this in perspective by comparing it to dining at V&A's or staying at Grand Flo, but it's totally different and comparing apples to oranges. There's no benefit to this system except for putting more money in Disney's pockets. I love Disney, but this is definitely a money grab and I'm not for it.

Being coming to Disney since 1972
Being on the traditional rides more times
    Than can count
    Disney is expensive enough without
Paying $500.00 more for rides I have already been on several times
Will wait in line if have a need to ride
    On whatever
Coming for x mas and only rides in park
    Have never been on
    Tron in magic kingdom
    Guardians of galaxy at Epcot
    Ratatouille at Epcot
Slinky dog dash at Hollywood studios
Have done Star Wars rides before
So no I would not send $500 more
Dollars to skip line + I do not think is fair
For people that can only afford Disney once to have wealthy people skip line
Because they are to lazy are whatever to
Wait in line like average people
I bet Walt Disney himself turning over in
Grave he wanted it to be a place people could come with family and have fun
    Take nice memories home
He died at to young an age I think he was 69

Nope, best time we had was last trip, no genie, no fast pass, just went and rode the rides we wanted. Best visit post covid. The tickets and stuff are expensive enough, let alone adding in extras upon extras. Disney needs to get back to core business that made them great, and this is not the way

We purchased Premier for a day at Hollywood. I'm not happy about the cost, trust me on that !. For us time is money and we will only be at WDW for 2 days. We are going to the Christmas party which gets us into magic kingdom at 4. Before that we will be spending time at Hollywood. The problem is so will everyone else because magic kingdom closes at 6pm for the party. Looking at wait times for Hollywood with multiple 100 + minute waits means an awful day for us (family of 4) By purchasing Premier now we can do all rides easily and on our schedule. It turned a bad situation into a perfect day scenario. Again, the cost is ridiculous but I am lucky this was an option for us.

If this is your families one and only trip to Disney ever because it’s just that expensive, you won’t be getting the premier pass. Lmfao like what is this video. Save your money folks. Dollywood and Silver Dollar City are way better theme parks with a few rides that are in the national top 50 rides lot of thousands.

Lightning Lane is the worst thing that Disney has every done in my view. But I got to say I like this premier pass thing... but ONLY if becomes the ONLY LL service. If they keep premier and the previous abomination that is LL then they simply made the parks that much worse. Of course the limited availability of LLPP is only a benefit to consumers if Doesn't doesn't make it "limited" and sells as many as possible because they are under no obligation to tell their customer base how many have been bought.
