    I love the sound of the PRV. It’s different. We put a mic inside the engine bay of vin 888 and you can really get it to sing. Love these cars.

      Yeah i love the whizzy sound of the oddfire engine. I take mine on evening drives every 2nd week or so and its what I look forward too during my weeks. I dont drive it much because it makes it a special time when I get to take her out

    Why was the stirring will making this creaking noise every time you turn it

    • @daxflame163
      @daxflame163  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I know, I was actually little surprised to hear that noise when I first watched the video. I guess the position of the camera was such that a little noise was substantially magnified during the recording. I don't hear creaking noise so loud like that in actual driving. Thanks for watching the video and your comment!

      I suspect it’s the doors moving around due to the lack of torsional rigidity.

    Interesting - i was until now with the idea that the DeLorean has an automatic shifter . I must revisit the movie asap because i think that in the movie Marty is shifting gears...like here.

      There are automatics and manuals. The one in the movie is a manual.

      Well on some ways you can. For example DMC was working on a twin turbo PRV for the car to be released in 1983. Had a 0-60 in 5 seconds beat a Ferrari 308 and a Porsche 928 on the track in 1981. Would have become the worlds fastest production car of its time. Also the PRV has been in rally cars along with race cars. The PRV still holds the world speed record at the Le Man race track at 252mph which was done by a twin turbo charged 2.8 Prv with 910 Peugeot P88. Interestingly enough the Bugatti Veryons top speed was based off the P88 a PRV powered car lol. Also can’t forget the Renault Alpine. The DeLoreans sake it was hurt by the emissions crap around the time period because people tend to forget a 1981 V8 Mustang only had 130hp. Still the PRV can pack a punch if done correctly. DPI has a twin turbo package to get the engine to 500hp it if any more it will blow the un1 transmission. Hope this helps.

      The twin turbo prototypes are vin 502 and vin 530 and both exist today.

      The problem with upgrading a DeLorean is the lack of rigidity due to the plastic underbody and compromised structure resulting from the gullwing doors.

    Lotus would have built this car better from the chassis up and not put a under powered engine in the back the interior is really dull too lol

      Best description I’ve heard of the DMC-12 is “a prop on wheels”, which is really what it is. A great looking design, but not much else.
