So, after a quick scryfall search, there are roughly 12-13 edh "playable" trolls (Including Varolz) and I have to say, that's a lot more playable tribe members than usual for Richard.
29:54 Crim pays 2R and sacrifices 2 gold tokens for Dargo - but could have just sacrificed 2 golds *before* casting Dargo and paid just an extra R! Dargo's cost is reduced how many things you've sacrificed so far in the entire turn, not just the ones you sacrifice during casting! (hence the combo with Phyrexian Altar that was not included in the deck) Doubtful it's relevant in this case since he had a lot of mana leftover but the card certainly has some more depth than is immediately apparent.
For next year's Halloween it'd be sweet to follow the secret Santa format but with a trick or treat theme 😂😂 it'd be hilarious to see you all gift horrible decks
Crim: "Play opposition agent in all your decks! That way tutoring players can't get what they want!" Me, a budget player: "I just want to crack my evolving wilds why must I be punished for this?"
31:34 the line is: eternal witness to get back the eledamri's call. Then call for Emiel (or deadeye) make infinite mana with dockside then infinitely blink your e witness and get and cast every creature in your deck.
One of my favorite games I ever played was a 6 way Christmas themed game where I played Santa Kenrith who would gift the good boys and girls cards and counters, and tax the bad players.
Watching Crim cast Dargo for the first time, I don't think he realized each Gold/Treasure was effectively 3 mana for casting Dargo, if you sac them BEFORE casting him, and not saccing them for Dargos additional cost. Dargo's a house because you can reliably cast him turn 2 with a couple treasures, and should always be 1 red mana to cast for most of the game.
@@kpoffaas Dargo's cost is also reduced by 2 for each artifact/creature you've sacrificed this turn (in addition to the stuff you sacrifice during his casting). This is how the Phyrexian Altar combo works - sacrifice 3 things and Dargo costs just [R]. Sacrifice Dargo for [R] and he costs 2 more (commander tax), but also costs 2 less (you've now sacrificed 4 things this turn), so you can cast him for [R]. Throw in your Impact Tremors of choice and that's a combo!
Seth definitely has another winning line when he tutors for Emiel. He can create a million treasures with the Dockside loop, cast Garth, Brain Geyser one players library, blink with Emiel, and repeat two more times.
seth couldve won without crim really having a chance by after getting infinite mana and crim phases out he could cast avenger and use it to draw his deck with his deck for a win (including haste enablers for garth) and that just wins tad difficult with mtgo but in paper thats a definitive line and crim scoops
The RC should ban dockside extorsionist. It was clearly an error. It is too much explosive in the commander metagame. Moreover, the recent popularity of treasures, foods, clues and artifact lands has only aggravated the situation. I think that from high power to competitive tables one can also make the argument that dockside is close to black lotus power level. At least it is significantly stronger than sol ring since it can be easily used also as a combo piece
So with double op agents out and the player that is tutoring having one, the opponents agent is the only one that triggers. Op agent says when an opponent searches THEIR library you control them. That means it does nothing as you search someone else's library. Double op agents with a 3rd person tutoring idk what happens. I would assume that it works in turn order and whoever is further away in the turn order resolves first and the other trigger fizzles but I am not positive.
Opposition Agent doesn't have any triggers. They're all static abilities, and the last one creates a replacement effect. As the rulings on Gatherer explain, the player who's searching gets to choose which replacement applies, except that another player is controlling them as they search, so actually the opponent whose Agent entered most recently gets to decide which one wins (because it has the most recent timestamp).
Wait Seth not just snagging the yareok, upkeep the watcher for 2 cards on etb, and you can felidar the watcher for +2 or depending on what you draw do that
@@brentkeegan4719 Basically. You can't easily ensure than your opponents have artifacts/enchantments (unless you set yourself up for a potential blow out using something like Enchanted Evening), even if you can reasonably assume that they will have artifacts/enchantments, but you *CAN* force your opponents to draw cards. That said, Dockside is overpowered, and at the very least should have had an "if you cast it from your hand" clause to prevent blink shenanigans.
@@anix712 I would rather you just get mana then make me lose my hand and give you cards and mana. Sure mana is good but if you don’t have the cards not to much to worry about
Seth mentioned something about having the CommandZone people filling in for him. I think it would be a great idea, I love their channel. Any chance of it being put up to viewer vote, presuming everything goes to plan?
So, after a quick scryfall search, there are roughly 12-13 edh "playable" trolls (Including Varolz) and I have to say, that's a lot more playable tribe members than usual for Richard.
He'll "troll" with the birds!
The mistake here was he didn't learn the proper lesson from Richard he didn't use the default tribal win package and there was no toski
That's my favourite line in commander
"How many tokens do you have over there?"
*"Enough"*
"I actually almost lost to Sparky"
That says more about Crim than it does about Sparky.
How so?
"Choking a chicken" is a very well known euphemism in the UK 🤣

That would be really funny, I'd build like a 5C combo deck but the combos only have half the pieces
Imagine if Crim had to play a deck without blue or black and had to play cards on his turn? That would be wild!
Seth is evolving into full santa
Watching the opposition Agent go into Crim's hand at 44:24 is the most Crim thing I've ever seen.
“SKREEEK”
_(10 seconds of awkward silence)_
“....was that a dog?”
Crim: "Play opposition agent in all your decks! That way tutoring players can't get what they want!"
Me, a budget player: "I just want to crack my evolving wilds why must I be punished for this?"
I died laughing when crim drew the Oposition Agent AFTER the Wordly Tutor
Damn Richard calling out Crims tap land + sol ring start from Crims commentary was sick
Now this is the Christmas magic I was looking for
31:34 the line is: eternal witness to get back the eledamri's call. Then call for Emiel (or deadeye) make infinite mana with dockside then infinitely blink your e witness and get and cast every creature in your deck.
The Dargo/Ravos List is sooooo awesome, hthis is such a unique build and can get really powerfull with lots of tutors and recursion. So smart!
One of my favorite games I ever played was a 6 way Christmas themed game where I played Santa Kenrith who would gift the good boys and girls cards and counters, and tax the bad players.
On this week of "Punt or Bluff?" everyone dons a Santa hat and and makes merry! Who's gift will the kids like the best? Tune in the find out!
My guesses. Seth built Phil deck, Phil built Crim deck, Richard built Seth deck, Crim built Richard deck.
I haven't finished the video yet, but I though it was funny that my prediction is exactly the opposite of yours (Seth built Richard, ect.)
That Odious Troll face... we sure that's not a chicken?... xD
Here for ravos love putting him in too many decks ( :
Oh deadbridge chant is a great card criminally underplayed.
I’m curious to compare this Garth list to mine been trying to find the correct balance of cards while building a blink deck
Boy, cycling a decree in pain would have been hilarious right at the end there.
Happy Holidays MTGgoldfish crew :) Hope you guys give yourselves a little break to relax and hang out with loved ones
Varolz looks really fun to build around for the ability it has.
Me after seeing Thumbnail: Wow someone gave Seth a Yarok Panharmonicon deck again.
Me after seeing the Trailer: Well I didn't "see" that coming.
Phil had the Yarok Panharmonicon deck lol. Crim gave Seth a blinking Panharmonicon deck.
Can't wait to see LSV on Commander Clash!
Wow, that Mans Not Hot shirt from Phil XD
A classic

How are you sac'ing the same thing for two different costs? That doesn't work like you think it works.
You also get the reduction for any artifacts or creatures saced that turn what he’s saying works with the card

I love Crim getting got by Mana Drain
Vince! Bring back PK as the fill in!
SPOILER:............."Be distracted by the chicken while I cast Deadbridge Chant". lol
Nice episode, happy holiday!
Omg Phil! That mans not hot shirt is amazing

I see the Gold tokens are still bugged? Shouldn't be a tapsac
If Crim had realized he had the mana at the end of game 1 to cast Ondu Inversion it would have been hilarious
It wouldn't have been that good because Seth had Guardian of Faith which would have saved his creatures. And Crim still would be without lands.
Wait what it's been awhile. Did they really fire Tomer?
Nope, it's the running joke. He's still working full-time for MTGGoldfish, he's just not on Commander Clash this season.
@@davidhansen5067 oh okay thank you lol
5:39 my guess is Seth and Phil got eachother and Richard and Crim got eachother!
MERRY CLASHMAS EVERYONE!!!

I was really hoping Crim would live the dream and Lotus Field + Brought back a couple times but he never did :(
A tragedy
I think pauper edh or 3 ticket edh for a game or two?
Clash ONNN!

Santa’s Gift this year was 2 secret 2 Headed Giant games lmao
I thought for sure Crim had made the troll deck.
Called shot: Seth built for Crim, Crim built for Richard, Richard built for Phil, and Phil built for Seth.
18:05 choking the chicken ??? o.0
I called it last episode that richard was gonna have to say clash on bc tomer would lose 1st
Love Seth as Santa
Great intro music choice! Ban panharmonicon next season LOL
Where's Tomer?
I'm here, hello
Clash on!!
Phil had Shrieking Drake and could've won on the spot on the turn he went off by infinitely blinking agent of treachery with drake and infinite mana
Yeah he didn't wanna do all that clicking lol.

I would listen to new album of Haters of Value
Who is sparky?
He’s the bot that you can play against on arena. I know you asked this two months ago but I felt obligated to answer. 😅
Why didn't Phil hostage taker the opposition agent
You better form that band “Haters of Value”……i can already see it now. I play guitar btw.
they ban hullbreacher, but dockside gets go stay... where is the logic xD
Dockside depends on your opponent’s deck where as hullbreacher is just f lash in and wheel to make mana big difference there
