I think that is all of Buckeye nation at the moment. Hayden grinded last week, Chip was grinding today, and then they disappear because of playcalling. I understand CJ is arguably the best player on the field, but USE WHAT IS WORKING. Chip was getting yards after yards, then they abandoned him

Yep.. He clearly doesn't trust his team and really closes that play book to avoid what? Sacks? hurting Stroud? Did Justin fields really damage him to the point he is this conservative now? Fields is a dawg and yes by the time the playoffs came around, he was not 100% but that's football.. Have to keep the Physical toughness expected to win this game right here, PHYSICAL TOUGHNESS! Stroud has to extend the plays and run, take hits! it builds a spark and momentum. it's just time for Day to look in the mirror and ask himself 'Am I the Ohio State Coach or not? Part of the problem is coaching discipline. When a player comes over to the sideline and headbutts an opposing player after the play is over, and gets a 15 yard penalty, that's coaching, and the poor team attitude. He had wide open receivers that he missed, either threw it low, behind, or didn't even see them. Stover was wide open, he threw it low. Ebuka was wide open, he threw it behind 1 throw, high 2 throws. Johnson was wide open a couple times and he missed him cause he doesn't want to throw it underneath. Just like the 1st interception when he took off running and flipped it toward Johnson, he could have thrown it before running and gave him a chance to make a play, but didn't.

That presser didn't instill ANY confidence in me that he can get things turned around, as if the actual game wasn't enough.

Any good leader would take full responsibility for failure of his team first, before he look for solutions to provide solutions and remedies. That’s a fundamental problem with a leader who does not have the courage, accountability, and resolve to deal with the problems at hand. There is no hope for him to lead effectively because his team cannot follow such a leader wholeheartedly. Lead by example. Just look at the faces and listen to the painful tunes of Jim Knowles and CJ Stroud, you know how they felt and you hear them holding themselves accountable for the embarrassing loss. There is some thing wrong with Ryan Day in this regard. That’s a deeper problem that cannot be ignored. Gene Smith should take note of this and ponder on how to solve this problem at his level.

For 2 years I have been scratching my head at why CJ Stroud refuses to run the ball. On zone read, no one respects the qb run and crashes hard. It is senseless to call that play with no QB run as an option but I digress. We had to take a LB and have them spy JJ McCarthy which is one less player in coverage. It opens up a lot of space, and ask any D coordinator...the QB run is their biggest fear. I just don't know if he is that scared of taking a hit, or getting injured but his refusal to take the yardage on 3rd and 4 has killed us all year...it is so disappointing and sad.

Tackling is the key, giving up a big play and standing tall in the red zone to force a field goal is one thing. If you're going to go with a pure pocket QB, put him in positions where he can shine. 4th and 2 and 4th and 6 Day doesn't let Stroud do what he is screaming out to do? Poor tacking in "The Game"? How about taking the energy to head-butt an opposing player with an explosive tackle that makes them scared to touch the ball. Didn't Ryan Day talk about playing the game with an emotional focus? I seen this coming a year ago 😂. How could people not see after last season that Ohio State was taking a step back just like Clemson. The media was quick to write off Clemson but kept making excuses for Ohio State.

CJ played fine. Day didn't put Ohio State in a position succeed. Frankly, Gene needs to call Luke Fickell and tell him to be ready to move back to Columbus. With most of Michigan coming back next year in Ann Arbor is going to be even tougher.

Buckeyes are very talented but also an entitled and undisciplined team. This game has severe implications going forward and many great recruits will find opportunities elsewhere if they believe there is limited opportunities at a Natty. Almost seems like the beginning of he end for Ryan Day. At a minimum Day needs to address the coaching on the back end.

Wow! This team looked awesome all year, the one, maybe only team thar could beat Georgia. But all of their flaws, people being out, etc...guys, sometimes you get beat, that team on the otherside wants it more...you just can't show up against really good teams...Herm said, "you play to win the game!"...the past two seasons, Michigan has shown that they wanted to and expected to win. Ohio state is more talent...but hard work beats talent, when talent does not work hard. Ohio state owned Michigan for years...the table is turning.

Anyone who was honest should have seen this coming.... barely beat maryland....barely beat northwestern.... getting a couple late 4th quarer plays against Penn state and iowa... this was always going to happen.

Day calling plays and trying to CEO is holding this team back. Why on 3rd and 4th u called a stretch play to a power RB?? Why on 4th 1 u throwing down the seams to a tightend? Can someone explain to me how Burke and Tanner got ran over by JJ whom is probably 190 LBs pounds soaking wet ? Day refuse to run the ball up the middle refuse to call a desperate game refuse to get his offense in rhythm. It is what is it michigan is now the better team till proven other wise

I have been saying this since Day took over. He is turning Ohio State into the Oregon teams with mariota that we beat consistently because they lacked toughness. Like in the 2015 national championship game. Fast, wiggly offense and lack of defense(pac-10)

Ryan day has 0 Game plan for TTUN! He’s not from Ohio and he doesn’t get it! Anyone remember the Cooper Era? We are reliving that! We can beat any team in the Big Ten except for that team up north and then we can go to a bowl game and beat some decent team in a bowl game come back going to feed it and lose to Michigan again and that’s what it’s going to be like with Ryan day as the head coach at Ohio State! It really pisses me off to no end
