Tanya Sellars, don't know if you've already gotten an answer, but the FES version includes an extension to Persona 3 called The Answer, and The Answer is almost universally hated by every Persona 3 fan because it retcons the ending of Persona 3.

I believe I heard its disliked because people personally thought characters acted out of character or didn't like where they took them or something, and the grinding was harder and too drawn out and stuff. The game elaborates on the ending and explains more but I'm rather sure it doesn't change the original ending. Sorry to ask you a question on an old comment, but can you explain more?

What do you mean "after"? Everything's always been canon in some timeline, thanks to the Amala Network. One timeline might have Kotone/Minako/Hamuko, another might have Makoto/Minato/Roger, one timeline might spare Shinji, another might not
