Nice! I was at Alpha Audio last December. Spent over 2 hours auditioning and chatting with dealer there. Ended up buying Q Acoustics speakers and Audiolab amp. Very pleasant experience.

did u see any stores with the wharfedale linton? they are fairly popular and extremely well-reviewed, surprised that no stores had them up for sale or demo

For the benefit of my fellow Gwailo, plan to arrive somewhere between 11am and noon. Even then, dont expect every store to be open - some are by appointment only. If you want big stores with a lot of different brands, you may be happier in Tokyo.

🇬🇧...it reminds me a lot of the old "Saturn" in Cologne, a "Hi-Fi empire" from the 80s/90s spread over several floors..! At that time, it housed the world's largest record store on the ground floor. The 4 or 5 floors above exhibited so-called consumer or entry-level hi-fi and the top floor was exclusively equipped with High-End listening studios - I've never forgotten my first visit there!
