Thank you so much for the insight on high end audio gear in Singapore A must visit on my next trip I used to travel to Singapore every 4 months to buy audio gear back in the 80s Singapore was our haven for those from india. I had the Yamaha NS1000 The theorens TD125 with sme arm and mc cart. I learnt so much then from those at the stores who educated us on sound The 80s were the golden years when the best came on vinyl Great video
Nice! I was at Alpha Audio last December. Spent over 2 hours auditioning and chatting with dealer there. Ended up buying Q Acoustics speakers and Audiolab amp. Very pleasant experience.
For the benefit of my fellow Gwailo, plan to arrive somewhere between 11am and noon. Even then, dont expect every store to be open - some are by appointment only. If you want big stores with a lot of different brands, you may be happier in Tokyo.
did u see any stores with the wharfedale linton? they are fairly popular and extremely well-reviewed, surprised that no stores had them up for sale or demo
Wharfedale is at City Electronics Emporium Pte Ltd, Sim Lim Square. All my Wharfedale is bought from there. Another brand KEF is at Millinia Walk. Not all brands are concentrated in Adelphi Mall.
🇬🇧...it reminds me a lot of the old "Saturn" in Cologne, a "Hi-Fi empire" from the 80s/90s spread over several floors..! At that time, it housed the world's largest record store on the ground floor. The 4 or 5 floors above exhibited so-called consumer or entry-level hi-fi and the top floor was exclusively equipped with High-End listening studios - I've never forgotten my first visit there!
@@Hifihobby Nothing is ''extremely unique'' something is either unique or it isn't and if it is unique then it follows that you have ''only seen MBL using this design'' and there is no point i repeating yourself - which is what you did. Apart from that - lovely vid and I can't wait to visit that place.
Let me know in the comments which is your favourite store
Thanks for the quick and informative tour of Adelphi Mall...
I'll be sure to visit next time I'm in town. 😎
Stay tuned. I plan to do a video of other hifi stores in Singapore as well.

Thanks for watching 👍🏼
I went through this mall. It was insane! I had fun digging the vinyl.
👍🏼
Amazing place ..is like a permanent audio show ,like the ones we have here in US every year ...
It’s super convenient to have most stores under one roof

👍🏼 Nice to know
Wow, what a treasure ❤
Thanks for subscribing 😁
Very nice merchandise. They're all my favorite. ❤
Hard to choose 😁
I went backpacking a long time ago and stumbled across the first store at the time. I don't think the other stores were there though from memory.
How long was that ago? Adelphi mall has been filled with hifi stores for at least 30 years
@@Hifihobby It was 2000/01 .My memory might be a bit jaded! 🙂
Should come back soon!
Was a regular hangout for me when I lived in Singapore (2001-04). I bought my gears from Ivan at Norman Audio.
Thanks for sharing 👍🏼
Yes many transactions done here. Love Alpha Audio here.
One of the OG of Adelphi 😁
Good job covering the shops selling Hifi equipments. Head to the basement for many record shops available for your album purchase.
Yes there are a few things record shops in the basement.

@wumingkkk Thanks for sharing. I plan to film in stores in other locations as well. KEF main showroom is at Harper (I’ve got one video on that)
@@wumingkkk okay will check it out, thanks guys :)

In Malaysia definitely absolute sound
Nice place. I hope to be able to make a visit end of this year

...yes, indeed😢!
...there is a little sadness because the shop is no longer what it once was!
Wrong info 10:06 Naim and Focal agent is AV1.
You are correct. Should be AV One. Thanks for highlighting
Whers the Revel at ah? i rmb Revel distributor is inside this mall too
It’s Clarity AV on level 2 and 3 Adelphi
what about the person who on a buget? Ho do a video o that too?
There are budget options available especially on the first floor. Will try to make a video featuring lower budget items
I dislike shopping in vinyl record shops without price labels.
There is a lot of demand for audio hi fi ???
I’d presume so , judging from the number of stores in the mall.
Asians love music. Their child must be able to play piano, guitar, violin, or cello otherwise they will be disowned. 😂😂
@@funkychicken2119 i bet yes 😆
Thats funny 😁
This is just window browsing, would prefer footage from inside the stores
That’s planned for another future video. This video is for the mall. Stay tuned 😁
Is it possible to be in love with a Mall 😂
😁
Что на внешний вид смотреть, надо цены показывать и слушать.
I will try to show the price where possible but you should contact the shops to get the best discounted price

@@danieljones8587 спасибо за умный совет! Думаете, оно поможет разглядеть марки на товарах? Хотя бы на крупном плане.
''MBL is extremely unique and so far I've only seen MBL using this design'' Oops!
It always reminds me of a lightning machine at the science center. It sounds super spacious with this design

I didn’t expect a grammer lesson from my channel viewer. I learn new things each day 😁
😂Way way to overprice overcharge consumer this place nowaday again😊
If people are still buying for that price then should it be called market price instead?🤔
i already listened top of the line gryphon sonus faber and bowers. no imaging. expensive garbage.
If those speakers give you no imaging then better check your speaker placement or room.
@@Hifihobby - You are Exactly right and correct! It is all about proper Set-Up!
My favour are not the audio HiFi shops but is a store selling premium and exclusive diecast cars, from ex-Malaysian 🇦🇺🫶🏻
I know which shop you are referring to, good high quality car models
