For anyone wondering, the song heard at around 18:42 is "And This Is My Beloved" by Katherine Jenkins. I recognized the melody as Borodin's Nocturne from his 2nd quartet.
Audio Union is a must stop if you are an in Tokyo. The shop I feature in my next video have more floors and even higher end gear. Subscribe and you will be notified when its released
@sylvio1980 For the Japanese made items, generally yes. For non Japanese brands it varies due to pricing strategies, exchange rates so it’s best to check.
🇬🇧...in the 80s there was a report in Stereoplay about HiFi shops in Asia, I think Hong Kong & this shop was just gigantic. The old Saturn in Cologne was also very big! 🇩🇪...in den 80ern gab es einen Bericht in Stereoplay über HiFi-Geschäfte in Asien, ich glaube Hongkong & dieser Laden war einfach gigantisch. Auch sehr groß, der alte Saturn in Köln!
17:53 I've wanted to try these feet by KaNaDe. Guy designed automotive brake rotors and learned about resonant frequencies and made feet that resonate at a pleasing frequency. Apparently performers use them on their instruments. Can only get them in Japan though.
Thank you for subscribing. There is a listening room on level 3 (10:30 onwards) where I had a nice time comparing B&W, Sonus Faber, TAD and KEF speakers
Well if you don’t mind then step down transformer is available. There are really good quality ones in Akihabara, I will share in a later video where to find them.
Been to Audio Union in Hon-Atsugi-Atsugi, Sagamihara, Machida and Shibuya/Shinjuku. Was able to buy/pay and return after 7 days. Depending on the shop was treated well to poorly.
Disappointed. Most of the time only heard you whispering and did not know what I was looking at. A great video but It was like watching a silent movie.
You're not even supposed to take photos or record on their premises and get complaining that the voiceover's subpar? Be lucky to enjoy the footage that he was able to sneak out.
@@thekenthouse6428 This should have been stated at the beginning of the video so we would know. Pretty simple isn't it. We were not born in Japan. 🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭

A shop like this in the UK would go bust due to high rents and not enough footfall. It's incredible to see, clearly Japan can sustain such a business.
It’s an incredible sight especially for audio geeks like me. Check out Dynamic 5555 in my other video as well - it’s even bigger!
Wow,,,hifi keren banget ,,pasti nya komplit,,aneka merk .
Hebat ya? Terima kasih karena sudah menonton pak
I have never seen so much Hi Fi and accessories in on shop very impressive

The first set of speakers at the entrance were the Bose 77
Thanks for sharing. I’ve not seen them before
Shocking amount of quality gears. I would spend the whole day in there….sadly no proper listening room though

I love how you're shooting a video while there are no phone or camera signs posted on the shelves. You got permission first right?
You should see Part 3. He was asked to stop filming in another shop. What a scene.
Audio Union was kind enough to let me video, they plan to use it for their website blog as well.
😅very impressive. I Think you don't find such a shop in my Country. 🇩🇪😢
Thanks for subscribing. Check out my videos of the amazing stores in Japan and other places as well 👍🏼
So are you going smuggle an accuphase from Japan?
I wanted to bring everything home. 😭

@@Hifihobby but will the step down degrade the sound?
Adding something to the power supply chain can have some effect of course but whether it’s audible is another thing.
Phasemation does great tube amps and Dela is the domestic name for Melco. Thanks for the video, it was entertaining to watch.
Thanks for the encouragement 😁
Looks like heaven to me
Hopefully my video gave you a good feel of it😁 Thanks for subscribing ❤️
Great
Thanks for watching

I’ve been to the one in Shinjuku and it’s much smaller than the Ochanomizu store. Which was your fav store among those that you visited?
Love Japanese Women and their Hifi Stores!
😍 Thanks for subscribing.
❤❤❤❤❤I love audio super sir
You are welcome. Thanks for subscribing ❤️
If you think the prices are high, remember, so is the rent. It’s JAPAN!
With Yen at current low rates, there no better time to buy
I would be like a kid in a candy store.
Check out my other videos in the playlist for more “candy” stores 😄
videotaping allowed here?
Usually no. But they gave special permission
merci
Glad you enjoyed the video 😁

такое впечатление что все дизайнеры аппаратуры вымерли в 80х годах прошлого века. Печаль...
😅
I was just thinking the same thing last week, before I saw this.

Where are the real vintage speakers? Like jenson? Or whaferdale? All new? Sorry, not interested...
This store is mostly new and some used. You can check out my other video for the store that has vintage gear.
I am from india..can i get shop's contact no?
You can email them (contact in their website). Please note they don’t send overseas
expensive entry level gears.
The huge used selection will be a great option if you can’t afford new.
There is nothing in English waste of time
Were you expecting something other than Japanese?
Disappointed. Most of the time only heard you whispering and did not know what I was looking at. A great video but It was like watching a silent movie.
I was filming as discretely as possible to not disturb the shop. It’s also considered rude in Japan to speak loudly in public.
