You are a tonic to listen to Pavlin....makes so much sense. Before I think about buying anything for the bike I always watch your videos to see if I really need them...not want them...need them. So thanks and keep up the posting and happy riding.
Thank you for being yourself. You do not have to change to make your core viewer happy by uploading every day of your trips. I truly enjoy your honesty and experience. I have followed you from the beginning and I always learn something even though I am an experienced rider.
Hi man I’m a retired international truck driver and GPS was not even in the USA Army when I drove across Europe It was all done with maps in the old days 😂 and I still to this day use maps. I like to see in the map where I’m going, what’s around me and as you say Pavlin they don’t need to be charged 🤣👍 I understand you not wanting to lose time making videos on route, the weekly updates would be super, my route for 2021 is changing now 😉 Thanks for your passion and the time you spend making these videos
Like the survival box. I will copy this idea. My compass lives in the clear tank bag with the map. If my gps packs up or cannot get a signal it's an easy directional check if I can't see the sun. And I always carry a cheap lightweight motorcycle cover, for security in cities to cover the bike, and I can sleep in it or use it to keep me warm if I need to, especially as it is water and wind proof and covers my whole body. Good stuff. Happy travels
In preparation of my trips this year I started putting stuff in my new tank bag yesterday evening. This evening I will start taking things out and minimalising.
I'd highly suggest everybody to check out these modern GPS alarm systems that automatically call for help in case of ie. heavy impact and no movement for time x type devices. Pretty much "Blackbox" for motorcyclists. There's quite many models sold these days. I'm at least personally thinking about getting these for me and my spouse. It can be bit intimidating to wait for someone riding in bad weather when time begins to be quite bit longer than estimated and when calling other can't obviously hear you. I know a guy who went riding with motocross by himself, hit tree quite hard and waited pretty badly injured for hour or two until others began to search for him.
Thank you Pavlin for your advice, nice video like always. I think that the most important thing to take with you on a motorcycle trip (long or short) will be a Satellite Communicator. I know it sounds fancy but I think it is very necessary in case of life threatening situation. Something like a Garmin InReach mini or Spot Gen3.
HI Pavlin, I really loved your survival kid. I would recommend you to add a whistle to your kit. It's small. it's light and its really useful if fell next to the road or in case you got lost.
You better take one of those throat tablets, sounds like you have a sore throat or something. Very good detailed video. After the tailbag video I was curious about the tankbag. I like the fact that you actually went a size smaller comparing to your previous tankbag. My new tankbag also has the transparent window on top. They are getting pretty rare nowadays, seems like nobody is using charts anymore. Like you I also want to have charts with me and visable on the bike. Sometimes I make my own printed maps for areas without real roads.
Totally agree with you about not making and showing short videos of your trip as you travel because it does deter from watching the full video later on. I found this with your Pakistan and India series and commented about it at the time. Enjoy your new adventure and I look forward to seeing the series in the future. 👍
Great information. I am preparing my first cross Country trip at the moment, and I wanted to go fairly light and I am getting a lot of good tips from you. Appreciate the effort and intelligence. Databyter
The insect you were talking about could be a “tick”. at the drugstore you can buy a kit with tick tweezers. You just tirn the tick and it will release its grib.
Pavlin... I agree, enjoy the travel first... That's why we watch! Also that front strap should be around the headstock not around the bars... Could be dangerous
Hey Pavlin....enjoy your very helpful videos much!!! I have, however, spent far too much time trying to figure out what that aerial looking thing is (just in front of the Oxford handlebar controls). Please put me out of my obsessive misery and tell us what it is. Cheerio from British Columbia.
Yes ! People will make jokes about everything, especially the ones who like to ride on TH-cam . But I know how the smallest things can save ones life, especially if you are in an off beat environment, with not much of help at hand . So, keep the videos coming and hope your preparations for the North Cap trip are on schedule ?
Pavel, I think you have a wise approach. First enjoy your trip and we wait for the videos later :) Just a question:how do you download / save all your pics and video recording during your trip from your memory card ?
Great video, very informative. I'm planning a big trip soon on my XT660R and it is good to know what other people are taking with them. The little creature you mention having to burn off sounds like a Tick. They are little b*gg*rs! Tend to live in bracken and sheep 🐑🐑
Good point re the time wasting and workload when trying to make daily videos. Look what has happened with Noraly (Itchboots). She has taken a 2 week break as it has all caught up with her. TH-cam is an unrelenting beast, you can make money but there is a cost.

I think that a whistle would be a good addition to the survival kit
Yes, I have it.

The throat is way better now. Everything was for one week and I don't want to take any medications unless it is a must.

Pavlin, could you please confirm that is a Vanucci Sportivo VS01 model with 9 liters capacity? (Maybe the inner label has this data)
Yes, confirmed.
Hi pavlin, from India!!
Hi man!
Hello. How many litres is your tank bag?
I have no idea, but not much.
Robinson crusoe..
It is what it is...
Its all about enjoying your ride not about makin videos .😉👍
Fair enough!
Pavlin, we are very much alike :)
Good.
There should be at least 50 g of tobacco in the jacket and rolling paper!
For some people yes!
Great video, very informative. I'm planning a big trip soon on my XT660R and it is good to know what other people are taking with them.
The little creature you mention having to burn off sounds like a Tick. They are little b*gg*rs! Tend to live in bracken and sheep 🐑🐑
Yes, tick, thanks for adding!

Not for me, thanks! As I said it is my personal time!
You need almost no money for a trip ... if your patrons pay for it 😂
True, but to come to the point someone to pay for your trips it takes a lot of time and many self-paid trips!
I throw anything under the seat of the maxiscooter that's it 😂 biker still hatin. but I never want a motorcycle again scooter 4ever
If only the Indian had had fishing hook and a saw 😂
People never believe that it might happen to them...
What is the point of the story?
Never argument with your wife!
No, just inform people where are you going!
