There are people on youtube that give thumbs down just to be douche bags. Make a comment on another video that someone doesn't agree with? Here come's the "down vote douches." Make a vid about something someone just isn't into? Here they come! It's sad that some folks just don't have lives or excel at anything so they have to go poop on everyone else's vids.
It will be at some point. But not his fault, MFS2020 doesn't actually support most of his extra equipment right now. We know that will change in future patches but not for now. With that said, his main equipment and his tv setup absolutely is awesome for MFS :)
I have to say, no matter how many times I watch this, it's so mind-blowing. What I like about it that you've made it simple enough that the common Joe can get started: 55K 4K TVs, computer and order hardware and you're set.
I've flown a lot of hours left seat in the 172 and wow, I have to say your setup/video had me feeling motion. Beautiful work Josh, totally convincing. It's the real deal. Truly impressive! Wow.
Great craftsmanship. One added benefit is that if you have in-flight engine failure or fire in the cockpit you can always reboot while drinking coffee. 😁
Josh, Really a super example of a homebrew flight sim. With the ever rising cost of hanger space, insurance, fuel, maintenance and all of the other expenses, I have decided, going forward, to just rent a 172 or 180 a few hours per month and build a home flight sim; probably not as outstanding as yours Thanks for all of the videos you have made to show your process. Now I need to look at MS 2020, vatsim and at least a decent yoke, peddels, and a throttle panel for starts, AGAIN, thank you Sir for all of the great info ! ! !

That's the second most impressive home cockpit I've ever seen. The number one is a guy that built a 737 by converting his garage into the cockpit of the airliner. Well done 10/10 :)

I went up the other day with my brother in a 180 Stinson as a right seater. It was bumpy. Test flying a new prop. ievgen tiron it’s not a game it’s a simulator. The title of MFS is “Microsoft Flight Simulator”. Do you even know the meaning of a “Simulator”, and compare this to a game? First off, its not a game because there is nothing to unlock, buy or earn virtual money in. Secondly MFS focuses to get as close to the realism as possible, comparing every aspect spectated in the real world. Also, in terms of physics the flight simulator contains realistic Aerodynamics in all GA Aircraft. I’m not sure what were your friends telling you but I’m sure you didn’t take a closer look to the gameplays or Discovery Series EP. 3 Aerodynamics. There are small particles or layers of simulated wind socks in all directions. Buildings and scenery also affects this aircraft. More information on the episode in their official channel. You might just be dumb dude. Don’t just spread fake info, but also just telling things you don’t even know it’s true. Also your friends should be testing the “Alpha” stage of the Sim, so this might also be false.
I have loved reading true life stories of WW2 pilots and only recently found out how they went to the bathroom. I thought they peed in a bottle and threw it out the window. But for #2 depending on the plane - most of them - they did it in their clothes!. At -40C you don't take your pants off. Can you imagine flying and fighting for your life while in that state.
A sim is something I wish I had the time and money to do. But I would like to comment on how I like the full immersion you get from a wrap around screen. To me, it's worth it.
For those of you asking about costs for his whole setup, without adding pc comments. The setup with all he has is estimated to be around $4,000 to $5,600. You can thank me later!
My guy. Your toys are the coolest! I really hope flight simulator games include flying in Alaska someday. There was times flying from Ketchikan to Met where I for sure I thought we were gunna take the plane swimming. Hitting air pockets is like a Andrenaline rush you'll ever forget. To me flying like that was just our transportation growing up. Beaver and Otter float planes...

With symulator like this i would never leave my room... I once played a truck simulator, which was made like a real truck cabin and inside everything looked 1:1 the same as in the real truck (Mercedes Actros MP4), but it was much more expensive, even than the one in this video, it was moving and shaking while driving. Cool thing.

I have loved reading true life stories of WW2 pilots and only recently found out how they went to the bathroom. I thought they peed in a bottle and threw it out the window. But for #2 depending on the plane - most of them - they did it in their clothes!. At -40C you don't take your pants off. Can you imagine flying and fighting for your life while in that state.

... kinda like auto-pilot. Except it dont matter how long of a bathroom break you take, 1 hour, 4 hours, 2 days. It plain dont matter!

A sim is something I wish I had the time and money to do. But I would like to comment on how I like the full immersion you get from a wrap around screen. To me, it's worth it.

My guy. Your toys are the coolest! I really hope flight simulator games include flying in Alaska someday. There was times flying from Ketchikan to Met where I for sure I thought we were gunna take the plane swimming. Hitting air pockets is like a Andrenaline rush you'll ever forget. To me flying like that was just our transportation growing up. Beaver and Otter float planes...

Why am I even watching this? Iv no interest in flight simulators. No interest in even owning one. And don't even like flying but I'm totally addicted to watching this guy and his videos. So relaxing and strangely fascinating all at the same time. I just hope I don't end up lobbing 10 k on my own simulator lol

With symulator like this i would never leave my room... I once played a truck simulator, which was made like a real truck cabin and inside everything looked 1:1 the same as in the real truck (Mercedes Actros MP4), but it was much more expensive, even than the one in this video, it was moving and shaking while driving. Cool thing.
at this point you might as well by an actual plane and pay for training.
