yes!!!! yes!!!! another person who loves Tomb of Cyberman as much as I do!!! I love the cybermen, I love Troughton, he's my favourite Doctor, Jamie is my favourite companion, I love the threat of the monsters, the themes of Egypt and mummification, and we get the sweetest most endearing Troughton moment, with his speech to Victoria. eeeeee so good!!
I’ve been watching classic who for the first time. I’m on the last season of Pertwee, but so far, Patrick is my favourite classic doctor. Edit: finished classic who, still my favourite classic doctor and HAS become my all time favourite doctor. Including surpassing pre-fav, Matt Smith.
I love the Dominators myself, actually my favourite 2nd doctor story directly followed it the Mind Robber actually my least favourite 2nd doctor story is Evil of the Daleks
So much juice there, you can't go wrong. It's such a testament to the writing quality here because I'm not even a huge fan of Patrick Troughton and I still find it hard to rank them without having multiple stories share the number one slot. 1. Power of the Daleks 2. Fury From the Deep 3. War Games 4. Enemy of the World 5. Web of Fear
I haven't seen any of the ones which are totally/mostly animated recreations, so I can only comment on the others. From what I've heard of it, The Power of the Daleks would be right up there but I'm reluctant to watch animations. 1. The Invasion 2. The Mind Robber 3. The Web of Fear 4. The Seeds of Death 5. The Enemy of the World
Patrick Troughton has always been my favorite Doctor, but evaluating his stories has always been difficult for me since so few of them were available during my formative years. PBS tended to concentrate on Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker, and only occasionally going beyond, most likely because the episodes were (mostly) all in color. We just loved it when another new Troughton era story is discovered - I foolishly got the first DVD release of Enemy of the World, forgetting that a new release would come with actual extras. Ah well. I can't even really name a favorite Troughton episode - the ones I've seen, I just watch Troughton work. Sometimes, that's more interesting than the actual story, and his relationships with his primary companions - Jamie, Victoria, and Zoe - were just magical. You knew the characters - and the actors - just loved working together, and they usually found something for the companions to actually do. Even The Two Doctors - never really one of my favorites - was just delightful thanks to the return of Troughton and Frazer Hines to their classic roles. They both still had it, and it's a shame that was Troughton's swan song.
Shame most of his stuff was deleted. Always like him in the multi doctor stories hes very funny. Cant get into the remakes its just not the same obviously. Love the train station one with the brigadeer.
it is you or is the audio choppy ? i finding it wei9rd when certain words just stop or there is some sort of glottal stop where it sounds like you hiccup of stutter or that the audio was spliced to ge ther..... [like that]
@IsaacWhittakerDakin good video. Got me to finish watching the mind robber with my daughter who liked rapunzel parts. Will watch the invasion tommorow. Nice one
Only seen half of Troughton's stories, my top 3 are: 1. The War Games 2. Evil of the Daleks 3. The Macra Terror Have to say my least favourite is 'Tomb of the Cybermen'! Just didn't do it for me at all. 'Fury from the Deep' looks the most interesting of those yet to watch.
There seems to be an annoying break up with the sound in the narration on the odd occasion. It crackles and fluctuates in an awkward way at important parts of dialogue.
21) The Space Pirates 20) Enemy of the World (EXTREMELY OVERRATED) 19) The Highlanders 18) The Faceless Ones 17) The Ice Warriors 16) The Dominators 15) The Wheel In Space 14) The Krotons 13) The Underwater Menace 12) The Abominable Snowmen 11) Fury From The Deep 10) Power of the Daleks 9) The Mind Robber 8) Tomb of the Cybermen 7) The Seeds of Death 6) The Invasion 5) The Web of Fear 4) The War Games 3) Evil of the Daleks 2) The Moonbase 1) The Macra Terror
With The wheel in space, the Dominators, and the krotons, I do love all the monster designs
Glad they have some fans!
Patrick Throughton is the best doctor and best stories. My favourite
You must have seen them in your first run

It's a classic!

Season 5 is genuinely my favorite season of all of Doctor Who
It's my favourite from the 60s and Troughton's
You are correct......... The Krotons does exist. which means other really good stories were lost and that one was saved, sigh.
The Krotons just existing is the biggest compliment I can give it!
My favorite Doctor and companions that I would love to travel with. Not many weak serials in his entire run.
Aside from the bottom five I love the Troughton era!!
I love the Dominators myself, actually my favourite 2nd doctor story directly followed it the Mind Robber actually my least favourite 2nd doctor story is Evil of the Daleks
Interesting choices!.

Troughton could always elevate a bad script, sadly they're barely in the Space Pirates so bad luck there!
The audio at the beginning or end of many of the words you say in this video is chopped out for some reason
The Dominators? Awful? We must have seen 2 different series.
Glad you enjoy it, cos I don't
Agreed. I've never understood the hate Dominators gets.
yes I am quite fond of The Dominators
Shame most of his stuff was deleted.
