- Today, for the first time in American history, a President stood on a picket line defending American workers. That’s a big deal. In taking on the corporate greed of the auto industry, the UAW is fighting for every American worker. They’re fighting for us. Let’s stand with them.

Biden did just the opposite of standing for the workers and acted materially against the workers in the rail workers dispute. But Biden is happy to do a purely symbolic photo op with a blow horn when it has no material affect whatsoever in the worker's favor. Now Bernie conveniently forgets Biden's mistreatment of the rail workers when it really mattered.

I just wish it only took 15.00 an hour to live in a basic way here.
We own a couple of businesses and the minimum wage is going up in Florida. I've already let my customers know that they will see an increase in their pricing to cover this cost. Now our employee's friends, families and neighbors get to pay more for their increased wages. Not just for our business, for every business around them. So that increase in pay they just received goes to pay the increased cost of everything they buy. Best of all, they get to pay more income taxes. So, who is the biggest beneficiary? The government tax collector.
Oh and don't forget the people who worked 10 years and worked their way up to $15-$16 an hour. It's wiped away overnight and they are back to the bottom of the scale, now making the same as the guy who started yesterday. Wonder why no one ever talks about them? Hmmm...

The flight attendant & pilot unions, & their workers, in a few major airlines, are also fighting so hard for new fair & well deserved contracts. My husband is a flight attendant & so our household is really going through it right now. The airlines say they have no more money to give & barely any retro pay, especially if you're in your first 5 yrs. Meanwhile they've made record profits & their CEOS have given themselves millions in salary raises & bonuses. Plus, many promotions took place that came along with millions in bonuses. I hope Sen Sanders you will speak loudly & support these union workers as well. Please keep an eye on these airlines. We need your voice & support. I would.just like to add, many flight attendants are struggling right now. Many dont realize it is an expesive job to have & theres no work/life balance. Also id like to remind that the flight attendants & the pilots were the work groups that kept the planes in the air & the airlines running during covid. They all happily reported to each & every trip.without complaint as they all.take pride in their work. Even while facing a huge uptick in passenger verbal abuse & physical assault. One of my husbands coworkers was beaten & severely hurt by a passenger during covid. Meanwhile, the CEOs threatened fueloughs 2 weeks before Christmas after promising in writing they would not. And also while the CEOS worked, & many other workgroups, worked from the comfort & safety of their homes & mansions. Many still do.
To this day the flight attendants & pilots have never been appreciated & respected & now theyre being insulted with basically a middle finger & 0 care for their work during covid & other meltdowns.
I truly hope that these CEOS will change their tune as theyre seeing just how fed up the American workforce is of being used, overworked, underappreciated, & underpaid.

Bernie IS a bro to the working man, he's real deal Holyfield. But Bernie, more needs to be done to reform some of the unions in this country. I spent 18 years working at Kroger as a dues-paying union member, and during that time I watched way too many local union leaders get cozy with management to the point where many of us rank and file began to question their loyalties.
