In this video I'm outlining the procedure or strategy that I use, both in my own practice and with my students, for total mastery of the scales.
The concepts in this video apply to all scale types. That said, you really should learn the scales in a specific order. Start with the major scales, then learn either the pentatonic scales (if you are primarily a jazz trumpet player) or the harmonic minor scales (if you are primarily a classical trumpet player). Then work your way through all the scales in every key.
This is a very slow process. It is for your own benefit if you approach this slowly but steadily. Do a little every day, keep adding to the scales you know while at the same time always drilling the old scales impartially.
