Thanks! Yes highly recommend BSR if you every find yourself in Texas. If you wish to do the intermediate sessions though you have to keep an eye on the schedule 6 weeks in advance bc they book up quick!
It’s interesting how those wave pools seem to have waves that slow down, then slam into the surfer a couple of seconds later. The wave pool I’ve been to in NJ does this as well. Another surfer told me the wave pool in Bristol, UK has the same issue.
Great video! Y'all both caught a left or two and for sure your buddy is a natural if that's his first time on a board. BSR is definitely va little tricky to figure out for beginner/intermediate surfers the first few times. I've had sessions where I only missed a wave each way and ones where I was lucky if I caught one at all. Definitely come as often as y'all can because my personal experience with BSR is you learn a little and get a little better every time and the closer the sessions the better I was. They're open almost year round, too. The water gets amazingly cold but it sounds like y'all are used to cold surfing. Cold weather might make it easier to get a booking in as well. 🙏🤙
Thanks for watching! It certainly was tricky to figure out. Sad we only had one day to surf. Next time we’re in Texas we definitely plan on at least two days worth of sessions. Hopefully we’ll be back next year!
