Wife and I just finished a session yesterday. Super fun but took a bit to adjust to the takeoff. Def book a few sessions if you’re gonna make the trip.
Such a weird place haha, me my brother and a friend went for a 2 day trip to the waco pool ( flew in the day before, stayed at a hotel overnight, surfed one session in the morning and drove straight to the airport after) was a super cool experience and i was surprised how good the expert public session was. Sweet vid as always, cheers!
❤I remember being at grand opening. They didnt have surfboards , I was able to locate a baggie board and meet guys from other surf parks and Texans surfers. They called me the Hawaiian guy, but I kept them straight. I am Chicano Mexicano Hawaiians call me. Paniolo. : Mexicano Cowboy. Mexicano taught Hawaiians how to raise cattle. Chicano Surfer.
Great clip Kale! So fun to see you ripping this spot. I’ve been here several times and remain obsessed with it. Having watched your reviews for awhile now, it’s fun to see your technique and get feedback on a wave I’m familiar with. I’m curious about what board you chose and what your takeaway is now with size, construction, fins, etc, with this pool. Thanks!
@@KalesBroccoli thanks for the reply! You and Mason have my favorite TH-cam channels! I bet if you hit up Will Skudin you two could figure something out. Although I heard the NYC wavepool is only profitable for swimming classes. So I don’t know if they look for that PR. But either way I’d love to see you tear it up! I’m a nyc surfer so I’ve been there before
So adorable that you thought Rudy's was a good brisket from Texas. It is like the McDonald's of Brisket. Rule of thumb if they serve Brisket after let say 3 in the afternoon they are not a good Brisket place.
The best tutorial on waco ive watched
Texas proud
Welcome to Waco, glad you liked it! I usually try and grab a dawn patrol spot before work. Come back soon 🤠 🤙🏼
🤙🏽🙏🏽
Heading to Waco Surf this weekend!!! Thanks for the review! 😊
Hope you enjoy it!

Kale, I've been following you for years. I'm from Galveston, Texas and Waco is my go to spot in the summer.

All that for 1 session? Sheesh!
@@josephwiard6695 there was shenanigans the whole time, it was worth it. And the Mexican food was killer
Jaspers BBQ is not far from the pool and it is melt in your mouth brisket. Backside tubes and barbecue, the perfect match.

Apparently smaller board the better out there! I was on my FT Quad - full details on my quiver in a recent video :)
Thank you mate!!
I live walking distance to surf., is Waco Pro Session worth the $400 price tag?
Did I miss pricing? Would be nice to know all the different prices. Thanks for sharing!
As pricing is fluid and expected to change, I thought it was more appropriate to just share the link with you www.wacosurf.com
Green room surf reviews breaks the whole experience down quite well, prices included
Awesome! Can you got to the indoor wave pool in New Jersey and do a review!?
Would have loved to but didn’t get an invite haha

Will you have any surf retreats out at waco surf?
Would love to but getting visa sorted is a pain
if you ever do a lesson in texas will def love to attend!
One day surfs lakes will open and we can all finally see a wave
How do you think it compares to the Wavegarden in terms of overall experience?
Will do a roundup / comparison at some point
I prefer Wavegarden. Quieter and more ocean like experience. But a lot more paddling.
thats so sick
I was JUST there!
no lemur island???
Do you have waves for beginners? Or Surf lessons?
How much is an hour?
Thanks Charlie

You found Rudy’s. Great spot.
Yo kale are you coming to california??
I did but gone now :)
Is the ft still a favorite?🤙🤙
It’s a great board see more thoughts in my board update video posted recently!
What wave technology do you prefer for teaching and having intermediate/advanced students progress?
Will likely do a roundup soon
What are the prices?

Thanks
Green room surf reviews. Prices covered
thank you
Can I have one of those wave making machines at home pls? 🤟🏻
My Review of this Review: hotdog city
The take off is very tricky
So you’ve never surfed it obviously
?
150 per hour. Why not just move to mexico for couple years

so name a place
@@pointsofhonestyMillers BBQ in Temple Texas is the best you'll ever have.
Literally anything not a chain 😂 Agreed, riskys is trash by Texas standards
Coming from NYC, I found Rudy’s really good. 👍 but odd to see the gas pumps out front. 😂
Rudy’s is the best chain BBQ. Also, now that brisket is $50 a pound it’s become snobbery and unaffordable for many people.
Go to a real bbq place next time. Rudy's is a chain. It's OK but plenty of great bbq placed in Waco and surrounding areas
name a place then
