Fans are extremely popular weapons in the Chinese Martial Arts area because of their ability to surprise unsuspecting enemies. This Kung Fu Fan features black cloth and features the Kanji symbols for "Kung Fu" along with yin yang symbols and a dragon. This fan is made from stainless steel with the nylon taffeta cloth and measures 13 1/2" long when folded. Great for decorating your home or dojo or it can even be used in Kung Fu weapons demos. 13 1/2" ov, 25 1/4" wide when opened. - กีฬา
I recently got one. It's pretty good overall, it makes a very loud satisfying noise when you open it. However, it shows wear pretty quickly. The fabric started tearing after a while, and I had to tape it up. Be careful if you are getting this, I got a lot of cuts while training with it, and I dented my wooden floor when I dropped it by accident.
I've had 2 of them for about a year and there holding up pretty good
I have red ones I use for ATA black belt academy there my main sparing weapon I recommend you use
It should be noted that "Kanji" is a Japanese word for Hanzi.
I've had this before, my advice is that don't let the metal frame get bent to much. It will never close the same way again. But after that It got burned in a house fire. Anyways as long as you don't make the mistake of using it without the proper training you and it will be fine.
jungle master red ok thanks for the advice m8
I WANT THIS FAN SO BADLY
La Chu ikr?!
Same
This is coming from the guy who has monster cans as his profile picture
Is the metal frame Tessen sharp like the stainless steel Tessen?
I have one. I recommend it as a decretive piece, practice piece, or just as a good fan to cool off with. I can not recommend it as a weapon though. It is just a bit too flimsy as the steel is thin. Much more study than the cheap bamboo fans you can get from China though. A note though, TSA does consider it a weapon though. I learned that on my last work trip to China.
Last time I carried this thing (both metal/bamboo) on TSA, they gave it a pass. To play it safe, carry a bamboo one instead. Personally, I prefer the bamboo one over the metal because it's lighter and not as awkward to grip.
Hell of a lot cheaper now well under £20
I totally didnt hurt myself with a fun a few minutes ago...
