  • Alaska presents many challenging opportunities and exciting hunting targets for the dedicated backcountry hunter, especially for those just carrying a bow and arrow. In 2021, Brad Brooks spent six weeks archery hunting Alaska in pursuit of three different species. This mini series will follow along on this amazing hunting adventure.
In this episode, Brad continues his pursuit of migrating caribou high in the Fortymile Range of northeast Alaska. Follow along to find out. Despite the fact that he's hunting with just a bow and arrow, Brad's still not after just any bull. In the first day of his hunt, Brad made two unsuccessful stalks on quality bulls near a high point above camp. His plan to keep working this spot in the hopes of finding a quality caribou bull, but time is beginning to run short. Will Brad finally get an opportunity to nock and arrow and let it fly? Follow along to find out.
Be sure to subscribe to the Argali TH-cam Channel to follow along on this late summer, extended Alaskan hunt as well as future hunt series and films.

Great video. I hunted the 40-Mile herd in 2013 and it was the best hunt of my life. Incredible place.

Awesome hunts, been watching them all. Hat's off to you for the adventure and harvests. Just a thought, awesome footage but the music very distracting especially when the symphony is playing in the middle of the Alaskan wilderness. Would enjoy the natural sounds of nature and the hunt. All the best.

Not just being negative to be negative, but dang that bow is loud as all get out. I helped a friend that had the same problem with the same bow. Just ordering and putting on some extra string dampeners will help.out significantly. Sometimes you dont notice how loud your bow is till you shoot with someone else or with multiple people. Just food for thought is all. I work on all kinds of bows, if you want your more than welcome to DM me and I'd be happy to throw some tips your way and I'm sure you have tips that would help me out as well.

That bow isn't the quietest but it actually isn't too bad. The bow went off right next to the camera and mic so it definitely amplifies the sound.

What time of year was this? I’m headed north of the brooks range this year and trying to get a good idea on which layers to take.

@@viarbusiness I went to Alaska last November. Bring warmer gear than you think you'll need. It was cold, and I'm comparing it to many Montana winters, working at a Dairy (out at 5am every morning). It's a humid cold (at least where I was). Have fun and stay safe...
