The Conspiracy of the Red LEGO Mug: I Got an OFFICIAL Answer From a LEGO Star Wars Designer

Ever heard of the "Red Cup Awards?" Well, it doesn't matter if you have, since I discuss it here. Unfortunately, it's not as exciting as some may think... I sure was fooled.
But yeah, here is an official answer about why the red cups come in so many LEGO sets.

I add red cups to sets... when I built the first (of many ) Yoshi models, I added a red cup to Yoshi's hand... I kinda felt like I had to.
