    Looking to do this trek in a couple of years and something I was concerned about as I’m not the fastest trekker so thank you for all this information. It’s really helpful 😊

    Totally agree.... saw the 'fast' people in Kilimanjaro sat in the camps at night with banging heads and after 3-4 days getting AMS.... saw a number descend too.... we were Pole-Pole...super slow and made it to the top....

    This is the reason I don't like going anywhere in big groups of people. Five or six people is the max, and two to four people is ideal.

    Is it helpful to add extra rest days? (I am 61)
